It's like trying to collect the Simpsons Lego minifigs...

J-Chow 07-04-2015 04:58 AM

I wake up to this?

Oh wait. . .

I woke up to my wife who whispered in my ears,

"Minions are back in Mcdonalds!"

:rukidding: :seriously:

Riding a bicycle is an adult thing; it is exercise, teaches you how to maintain a simple machine, and there is a sense of community when you ride with others.

Collecting plastic children's toys from a company like McDonald's who has these wasteful and undoubtedly toxic plastic trinkets shipped over from some slave-labour based Chinese factory is just yet another pathetic attempt to cash in on people's simplistic view of the world.

You're a grown ass man. Those are essentially plastic dolls.

Get a set of balls and perhaps wake up to the reality that people like you are zombie consumers, buying for the sake of perpetuating retard culture.

Yes, you can.

The price is around $2 per toy iirc.

GLOW 07-04-2015 11:08 AM

ya you can buy them separately without the happy meal. i remember seeing a guy fill a bag of toys.

just please don't loot the entire restaurant out.
1 time we got a happy meal for our son and they had no toy for him...

This really seems to be a go to comment for those who don't really have anything good to say.

So just because these figures are exclusive to McDs I can't buy em? Would you say the same thing if it was sold at a retail store?
So yes, I like the movie and will watch the upcoming movie as well. These figures are a nice little collection I like to have. Does it matter if you think only little kids should have them? No. I posted this thread because in the past there were members on this fourm who like to collect these and similar ones as well ie) those marvel figures, pop heads, lego simpsons characters. I'd just thought i'd help others find these and not get flamed on by a bunch of guys who think they are too old to buy a happy meal toy. Oh wait, i forgot this is the internet.

I would question your mental age.
The fact that you think grown up adult collecting these toys is normal is beyond my understanding.

No, we are not saying you shouldn't have them only because they're from McDonalds.
If you buy them from Walmart or Toys'R'us, we would still say the same thinkg.

Look, "Choking Hazard: Not for children under 3 years"
Clearly, these sort of toys are for kindergarten/elementary school kids, as it should.
These are not meant for grown up man to go to McDonald's and buy a Happy Meal for sake of collecting these toys.

Why are grown men arguing over a yellow toy?

Because Minions are adorable. My wife thinks I am collecting garbage, but it just something I like a lot.

mickz 07-04-2015 07:36 PM

My gf collected these Minions the last time they were out. I didn't purposely go out of my way to help her find them but if I happened to come across a McDonald's and I had the time I would go in and check.

Don't know why some people are getting so pissed off over this. I agree with pure.life, Why are grown men arguing over a yellow toy?

Grow up. Be more of a man.

There are so many things in our society that need men to speak up on, from the increasing number of seniors going bankrupt, acidification of our rivers, incredible inequality manifesting in sky-high real estate and the birth of a new Canadian slave class to name a few.

Instead of more men voicing their opinions and spreading messages that will keep this nation "the true north, strong and free" we're pursuing infantile bullshit and allowing Vancouver, and our entire country, to be a whore spreading her legs for anyone with cash.

Seriously, I bet if you wife met someone like me and she heard the type of convictions I have, she'd get so excited thinking that she's just met a REAL man, not some dumbass collecting a plastic doll.

Pathetic!

Cool story Bro, I am pretty sure you will meet the love of your life one day.

Haven't watched any of these movies so can't judge too much at all.

But no,

You'll be surprised clowns can be woman too! As an example, the other day, was at a BBQ party and this couple with there young daughter were seriously thinking of moving overseas and getting into farming/agriculture. So I just started getting in the Transpacific Partnership and the fact that the Ontario and Quebec Dairy Board just recently dumped a million liters of milk. Just about to get into the meat of the topic and the wife gets up and walks away for no apparent reason!

I theorize what we have here are the male off-spring of second generation feminism. I see grown men are playing with little toys designed for little kids and we have more men voicing their opinions categorized as "FEMANISM"

#1 2 and 3 are pretty much everywhere. Does anyone have locations for the other 9 or not released yet?

Cwift 07-05-2015 01:36 AM

kdale just got in 4, 5, 6 iirc today. dont think they'll be released until the rest of the 2/3's are sold out tho.

AAnthony 07-05-2015 04:59 AM

The problem is you're focusing on the things in life that don't really matter. When I was a kid I had hopes and dreams. We all did. But over time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that really matter, even though they are right in front of you, staring you in the face. I think the next time you should ask yourself "am I on the right track here?". I don't mean to be rude but people like you I really pity. So maybe you could use the few brain cells you have and take advantage of the knowledge I have given you now. Good luck.
