Automatic Transmission Drain Plug issue

Hey guys,

I can not find the drain plug on my transmission. I read and searched that it should be on the oil pan but there is literally no bolt even located on the bottom. I also read that some don't even have one or they are located in an odd spot. Does anyone know where it is?

Hum. Do you have much, if any, experience with diy'ing car maintenance?

It's Not common for an auto tranny to have a drain plug. If it does, doing a "drain and fill" fluid swap gets maybe 3-4 litres out even though most cars have 8+ litres of auto Tranny fluid

+1

OP clearly has little to no business under his car.

Since I am forced to have an auto for traffic, I use the vacuum method to pull out about 3 litres of 7 and replace it via the dipstick tube. Makes my shifts buttery smooth and the car idles better too.
