If you could own just one arcade cabinet Saw this on another board and I thought it made for a cool thread. For me it would be this 4 player Return of the Black Adder machine: http://i.imgur.com/yvqw8Zg.jpg I spent many quarters and hours playing this. The levels were varied, and the art and sound were always cool. |
Suggested my HR manager to add one (either SF2 or KoF2), we are waiting it to be delivered. |
Street Fighter 2 |
My brother and I had a paper route, and we'd wake up extra early, at like 3am to go get the papers that were always delivered to the 7-11 close to our place, we'd go and play SF2 for a good hour everyday. |
:nicethread: are we talking about normal arcade cabinet? if so, SF2 and MvC1 are nice, but for me it would be this http://www.dragonslairfans.com/gaunt...tion_front.jpg probably spent like $100 playing this and $20 finishing it in 1 shot in college. it's fun with multiplayer. i'd play with these D&D nerds i don't talk to but in game we play like a team :lol if we're talking custom machines then it's 1 of these 2: Spoiler! if there was one of those machines cheap i'd throw one in the garage but i think they cost an arm and a leg. |
http://www.findarcademachines.com/images2/TMNT-Main.jpg http://www.co-optimus.com/images/upl...de-Machine.jpg Of the two I'd probably take turtles |
Probably some auto racing game like Out Run, Sega Rally or D1GP |
|
Oh man http://www.thenerdcavepodcast.com/up...12840_orig.jpg this would be right up top but SFII or Golden Axe would be a hard decision.. Berz out. |

Probably Maximum Tune 2. Too much fun playing that game at rush while smoking butts since the supervisors didnt give a shit. 2 is way better than 3 or 3dx+ |
doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doooooo DAYTONAAAAAA https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8316/7...c17f4576_b.jpg |
Golden Axe! http://old.mobilecrunch.com/wp-conte...1.54.46-AM.png Double Dragon! http://i.ytimg.com/vi/rTy6NS7Bciw/maxresdefault.jpg Those baddies with the machine guns always meted out a lot of punishment, until... I do a circular route towards them, got into touching distance, and BAM, body slam (almost like the above depicted picture...). |
oh we talking racing games? gotta be one of the first ones out there with a clutch Spoiler! ninja turtles and simpons...way back to elementary school days :lol was so proud finishing them with less than $2 each back then. final fight was another good one. the audio of golden axe was pretty awesome back then. the evil laughs, the guys screaming "OH GOD!" when they died... starting to feel like a nostalgic arcade game thread...good old days when it cost 25cents for a game and i can last 30-60min not a loonie or toonie for a few minutes :heckno: |
Daytona... the first game I drifted in..... in a fucking Nascar of all things haha Berz out. |
i had friends playing that game where they didn't touch the brake pedal at all, all they did was turn in to a drift and shift down and them back up :lol you guys remember super monaco stand up racer? that steering wheel had paddle shifters back then :ahwow: Spoiler! as a kid that opening scene of double dragon when the girl got punched and screams in pain i was like woah! wtf he hit a girl!!! :lol https://thanksforyourplaying.files.w...09/opening.gif |
The metal slug series!!! http://images.figure.fm/cgm/images/p...161d68ac3a.jpg http://ps2media.ign.com/ps2/image/ar...628072-000.jpg Many quarters were invested in the game. |
mine would be War Final Assault and Sega Rally Championship |
