lol... 68style has his excuse ready when that list gets published. "I swear honey, it was research!" :lol

:rukidding:

Might as well sign up for a porn site purely for the purposes of research! :p

That number is a bit misleading, as it doesn't get into the specifics of what is illegal in each country. I was thinking more about North America (where this site was based), worldwide adultery laws vary and most seem to have only been struck down due to being unequal between men and women.

If I was single I would sign up in a heart beat so I could slam hot married bitches with no strings attached.

You can't go to jail for cheating but that's beside the point. The main issue here is identity theft. It's OK this time because people are committing adultery? No one deserves to get their identity stolen.

Depends on the country. You could go to jail in South Korea for adultery up until a month ago. Identity theft is illegal but why are people so stupid and trustworthy? If you don't want people to know what you are doing don't post it online. Just look at the celebrity hack. Funny think is the Ashley Madison site still stays 100% discreet service and Trusted Security Award.

Something smells: Some 189,810 Ashley Madison users were registered in Ottawa, a city with a population of about 883,000.

How can that be right when many of the residents are children.

Canada's capital is a hotspot for Ashley Madison users, now hacking victims | World news | The Guardian

all the political people that travel to Ottawa for work... Yes thats a massive number but it would explain why so many people are registered since thats where all of the Federal union meetings are across Canada.

I don't get it - you're against cheaters, but you don't mind being the "cheatee"?

Ulic Qel-Droma 07-22-2015 03:22 AM

how many people enjoy freedom but are against the violence it takes to achieve it?

how many people enjoy drugs, but condemn drug dealers?

how many people tell you "she's good for you, but she's not my type"?

how many people give you sound advice but probably don't ever follow it themselves?

whoever said hypocrisy was a bad thing?

you can be sure i'd listen to a bum on the street on what not to do to get there than some rich guy. the bum knows better. the hypocrite always knows better. the hypocrite is always speaking from experience.

the guy giving advice and isn't a hypocrite is just speaking out of his ass.

Google search brings up this ad. Look at the last line.

I think he needs to be more worried if he wasn't the one who visited the site...

You guys you can stop worrying I'm not married. Just seems kind of stupid that a site that claims to be 100% anonymous would do that.

it is kinda creepy how much google knows about you...

underscore 07-24-2015 10:07 PM

^ you can now tell them to clear it all out, but then every ad is for some shitty dating site.

Cheating = you are worthless dirt.

So yes.

I sincerely hope that every single legitimate member on that site gets their lives fucked up.

The idea that a hacker can steal private information and then use it to blackmail someone appeals to you? What if a list of every porno you streamed online was sent to your friends/family/coworkers unless you paid them not to?

Ashley Madison was scamming customers. Letting people sign up for free but then forcing them to pay $19 to remove all there information but then not removing it.

Yah, so how does it help those people getting charged unjustly out by outing all of them? I get that it ruins Ashley Madison but they're not exactly going to bat for the consumer here... Pretty sure every single one of those guys would pay 100x that $19 fee to stay anonymous lol

Adorkami 07-26-2015 12:13 PM

If Ashley Madison was committing fraud then the crown should press charges. It still does not justify extortion by hackers. Shit like this makes me paranoid, we leave so much info over the internet and phones but we don't expect it to bite us in the ass.

Cheating is only "morally" wrong, not legally wrong; and morality can be subjective. After all, not long ago gay sex and polyamourus relationships were considered immoral. Regardless, it doesn't matter if it's Ashley Madison, a gay hook up site, a swinging site, BDSM meetups, it's not cool in my books to out someone for what they choose to do in private; no matter how much you disagree with what they do.
