The biggest gripe about my car? This one is obvious -- it isn't a Porsche. :okay:

Worst low end response and uneven torque curve down low from the DI switch over, but then past 4000rpm :fullofwin:

I thought the F20C is intolerant of low RPMs but damn FA20 is even worse.

Not gonna tune it for the sake of any potential warranty issues.

Once the warranty runs out, you should definitely tune it. It helps tremendously with daily drivability, and it can help alleviate the much maligned mid range torque dip issue.

Now the 275 rear tires are starting to rub. Good thing I am legend at fender rolling.
Also, automatic transmissions suck. 3 speed auto transmissions suck even worse. But spending months of busted knuckles, AND $7500 on a manual conversion is too much right now.

first world problems.

There should be a panhard kit for that, no? Maybe box/re-bush the 4 link?

originalhypa 07-24-2015 01:13 PM

I just saw it last night, so it's a recent problem. I'm going to have to figure something out though. September is almost here. As long as everything holds together for the rest of the summer, I'm laughing!

fliptuner 07-24-2015 01:15 PM

Something's gotta be bent or worn. Shouldn't be hard to find.

maxx 07-24-2015 01:52 PM

i-vtecyo 07-24-2015 02:04 PM

BMW 7 series. Everything that can go wrong will go wrong. Multiple times.

lowda9 07-24-2015 03:59 PM

Too loud, no ac, and morning sickness.

punkwax 07-24-2015 04:20 PM

Road noise.

double0seven 07-24-2015 04:26 PM

FA20.

Waiting to blow my engine up so I can swap it. :troll:

jonwon 07-24-2015 04:29 PM

Randomly smells like fucking rotten eggs

Gumby 07-24-2015 04:33 PM

Squeaking from the blower fan, and non adjustable front headrests.

Looks something like this:

2010 Mazda 6

The trunk is fucking heavy. Unlike a lot of other cars where the trunk is half open when you pop it. In this car it simply unlocks but you gotta giver to pop the trunk up.

No audible signal to tell you that the ebrake is on. Yea, who the fuck doesn't check to throw their ebrake off before driving but hey it happens.

Why do so many people hate this engine? I've heard this time and time again.

I have to agree, 1000-4000 RPMs in a BRZ is dreadfully slow. I got to drive a lightly modded one with a 200 lbs passenger in the seat. It is peppy once it gets going.

jtrinh 07-24-2015 04:51 PM

No folding rear seats!

Since I got the 6 speed, I don't have that issue :troll:

Though I do think the moon roof should have an express open and close function

Stealthy 07-24-2015 05:26 PM

Blowing on the paint gets swirls and scratches

I was just kidding, its a good engine. Does what its supposed to. Torque dip isnt too much of an issue as long as you keep the rpm's high. But its pretty underwhelming for a "sports car". Nothing special. But aside from the engine, as a complete package its not bad for a 25k car,

I should have gotten a honda, at least i'l have vtakkkk :joy:

Verdasco 07-24-2015 05:59 PM

scion FRS

Coming from Porsche owner. Biggest gripe? Every part costs 4-6x more than a Honda, for the SAME DAMN SHIT.
Want a custom "Porsche" floor mat? $250, because they are hand-woven by German virgin angels.

Gas mileage is a wallet drainer too, but puts a smile on my face everytime I get behind the wheel.

Impossible, you never drive your car :troll:

hi-revs 07-24-2015 07:43 PM

Back seats don't fold down and no sun roof

!e.lo_ 07-24-2015 08:10 PM

I'm more of the problem than the actual car.
Gotta stop doing stuff to it...

Integra Type R were perfect OEM.

Meh, it's a great car to hoon around in but don't plan to keep it past warranty. I've heard great things about getting an ECUtek but as my only car, I rather not tinker with things like the electronics.

I used to, when I can't tolerate shit going slow but I can tolerate a downed car for the sake of tuning and parts going on. Now I'm pretty much the opposite.
