I have to agree, 1000-4000 RPMs in a BRZ is dreadfully slow. I got to drive a lightly modded one with a 200 lbs passenger in the seat. It is peppy once it gets going. | I'll skip the subjective opinion to say that the sound the engine produces isn't all that inspiring.
What I will say is that the engine feels very unrefined and it is exacerbated by the DBW. The engine simply isn't eager to respond until after you wring the engine out. The car lurches a bit even when the clutch is fully engaged in gear and accelerating at reasonably normal driving when accelerating between 1 and 4 thousand rpm.

1.) The fact my 97 GS costs $7 more / year to insure than my 98 GS
2.) The Buick image

Gas mileage is a wallet drainer too, but puts a smile on my face everytime I get behind the wheel. | Oh, and classic case of "You don't realize what you had until you lose it" ... effing CUPHOLDERS! |

97 Porsche 911 C4S
Drive block. Immobilizes the car after it has been sitting for a couple minutes (like when filling up with gas). I have to arm and disarm the car or put key in and turn to ignition on and then hit the remote button before starting.
I think I can deal with it |

Lots of the parts I want are discontinued and rare as fuck.
As far as they way it drives? I can't honestly complain about anything.

2002 impreza ts wagon
Need to replace rear suspension
Rattling coming from exhaust covers
Leaks oil/burns coolant, will need a head gasket replacement someday soon
Cant justify sinking the appropriate money into fixing an automatic TS. Can't justify buying a wrx because this car still runs.... for now...

Can be jerky at times during light acceleration and deceleration
Small gas tank and even if you stay out of boost it's still quite a thirsty car, especially on ethanol
A few interior squeaks that come and go...hard to track down.
Fourth gear should have been made taller and stronger from the factory.

Fuel economy during city driving. 600 km on a 80L fill-up, compared to 850 km for highway driving.

Saab Turbo - Bloody impossible to find parts and poor fuel mileage, especially considering it takes 91
Acura EL - Slow as balls. 127hp new, definitely less now. Doesn't help that Kamloops is just one giant hill

Shitty Paint, new cars paint nowadays is so thin they're so easy to chip and scratch.

350km on a 55L fuel tank, that's a lot of spirited driving . I guess it's kinda hard not to do so when you have a turbo.

I'm happy with everything with my GTI except the touch screen. It's worse than my HTC Touch from the last decade. It works ok, but the lag is just silly.
