hey guys, this weekend lets go around in a group to every parking lot near pet stores and smash all windows with animals inside.

the law is on our side now. social justice will be served.

im just going to smash every window, and pull the social justice card.

How do you take over a camp ground if it's booked and/or someone's camp is already set up in the spot?

Like take them out ala bill gates? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Btf1fajCEAAr0fv.jpg

There's a thread somewhere on RS (4x4 section, maybe?) that talked about it. Allegedly some people had set up camp off of an access road, I believe, and left to go do some stuff. When they came back, this group had taken over the site with their own vehicles and camping gear and had even set up a campfire right next to one of the other group's tents.

Something like that, anyway. Don't remember all the details. Pretty sure T4 or Murdoc would be able to point out the story.

edit: Found the link. My memory was close enough. :lol

Best part? He's going to say he's actually a nice guy and does "__________" for the world.

Haha, I thought this post was pretty bang on.

Until the guy claimed to be mentally retarded, then this story got even better.

The internet just eats this shit up.
In this day and age, you've always got to assume that there's always someone recording.
10 years ago this might've been just some funny ass story some girl told her buddy and that buddy uttered out at some random party.

If this was more about his reaction rather than the treatment of his dog. Then society as a whole has failed. :rukidding:

CBA British Columbia - 240

Time for him to laywer up and sue for defamation. Sue all the news stations for cash!

No recording of the dog in distress. No recording of the weather. Both parties wearing clothing for appropriate weather, which isn't as hot as she makes it seem to be.

Adorkami 07-28-2015 02:43 PM

Just want to comment about the mental illness part. Lots of people that have one do not recognize it and if they do it is not uncommon to go off meds because they think they are cured and the meds make them feel like zombies. I have a family member that suffers from schizophrenia and has gone off his meds a few times because they just make him drowsy and give him the shakes. He has had a violent outburst before as a result and tries his hardest to stay on his medication. I don't find him at fault for his outburst at all.

truth. this is exactly why i am pissed off.

it's not even about his god damn dog. people are jumping on this due to his reaction (which is within legal means and justified IMO)

lol society failed a while ago.
but it's true...people wouldn't give half a rat's ass if he went about this politely or if he was half as loud as he was.

Had he just said "back the fuck up, mind your own business" and driven away this video wouldn't go viral.

Must be a slow news day.

meme405 07-28-2015 03:23 PM

I don't get it, what exactly is the news story here?

People yell at each other in parking lots every fucking day, I yell at people as a day job, so unless I missed some news story about myself yelling like a lunatic yesterday while at work, I have no idea why this would make it on the news.

It definitely can't be about the dog, since the dog isn't in the video, and the video doesn't actually show any proof besides the Facebook caption that went with it, that the dog was actually in any harms way.

I'm just so sick of seeing mainstream news outlets pick up BS stories like this about viral videos, I mean whats next are news outlets going to make news stories about some porn fetish video that has 200 million views (2 girls one cup). I tune into the 6 oclock news to see intelligent reporting on the economy, politics, and breaking news. I don't tune in to watch some self proclaimed retard berate some goody two shoes bitch.

News outlets really need to stop trying to compete with sensationalist journalism blogs like vancity buzz. I'm really sick of this crap.

"Doggie in danger" is such an overused trope now it's not even a surprise anymore. Just even a mention of dogs in a news items draws hundreds of indignant comments and death threats.

For fucks sake, the Country's economy is going into the shitter, the Province is burning down, but no wait we have to save teh Doggieeeeesss!! FailFish

Eff-1 07-28-2015 03:30 PM

Any story related to the recent hot weather and drought is easy ratings/pageviews. That, plus viral video footage, easily gets you top story at 6pm.

guess there were too many eager beavers (as I imagine is the case here) and too many drivers who know the law ;)

mr_chin 07-28-2015 03:40 PM

Anyone else think this dude is Ulic's friend? :troll:

Spoiler!

They didn't go through his shit, they simple took the dog out and put it to safety.

Spoiler!

It's all about intentions. Obviously you will see what the person is trying to do before you go questioning them. If the description is true, and he stood and watched the whole thing went down and still raged on the girls, then there is a problem with him.

Spoiler!

The windows were definitely not rolled down far enough for the dog to breathe. Bulldogs are known to having a hard time breathing and many die from this naturally.

First of all, it's a life we're talking about here. It's not an iphone, ps4, etc. I'd do the same if I see something like this and even if it means I get yelled at or knocked out, as long as I know I did the right thing and prevented a life from ending, it's all good with me.

The shaming part where the chick posted the video is in the wrong. Social justice etc. yes, but was the guy really pissed about her going to post a video online? He was pissed because he couldn't admit that he left a dog in his car with the windows rolled up, so he had to stand for his big man ego and not admitting his mistake.

Spoiler!

If a baby is suffocating inside a car in a scorching summer, and the mother is telling you not to go into her car to save her baby, would you?

Spoiler!

I think a normal person who can clearly see the girls' intention would do what you described in that last line. Who bitches at people that says, "hey, I'm just trying to help."?

The day you realize this will be the day when something meant a lot to you goes away and somebody that could have done something about it, didn't.

Spoiler!

Where did you read that? The only info, I know so far, is he stood and watched them while they went in and got the dog out and the girl going into other stores looking for the owner.

Spoiler!

You're going way out of proportion again.

Spoiler!

I will agree with you with one thing is that they chick posted this online for everyone to judge and shame on. The video was clearly not about the dog but more about her wanting people to side with her in this situation.

But to yell at somebody like that for trying to save a life even if it means violating privacy, I think this dude has some serious issues.

At least she took the video down now because I suspect that she was getting threats and warnings and her friends probably told her that it was not right to do so.

Sentinel 07-28-2015 03:57 PM

What I don't get it, the guy has been standing there the whole time sipping on his slumped while watching the girls open his car door. The guy could of simply just go back to the guy after getting his slurpee, roll down the windows even more, go back outside and enjoy his drink.

A simple action like that could of prevented all of this.

As far as the people wearing long sleeves.. Some people just like to wear long sleeves to avoid farmers tan.

This happened a few weeks back, some idiot was telling the police (or maybe it was a fireman?) not to smash the window when she locked her baby and keys in the car and instead wait for a locksmith because the vehicle was too expensive.

That was in China though. :heckno:

jinxcrusader 07-28-2015 04:12 PM

I don't think it is fair to give him a free pass because of mental disorders. I mean, yes, it is unfortunate. But judging from the way he reacted, and assuming he really had such a wild flare up, those girls that were trying to save a life would've been in physical danger from this guy. Let's not even consider what sort of harm would be going towards the pet. He needs to seek therapy, be put on medication or be in the presence of a caretaker.

Ulic Qel-Droma 07-28-2015 04:24 PM

for all you guys still fucking arguing about a window being SLIGHTLY CRACKED OPEN

1inch x4 windows = 4inches total. u guys make it sound like he has 3 closed windows and 1 window down 1 inch.

he has 4 windows, all down 1 inch.

http://puu.sh/jgKwY/7e676d8e04.jpg

u can even see the front drivers side window is down like 3 inches. the back is down like 1inch. and the other side of the car is probably the same. so like at least 4-8inches of windows open total around the car...

i don't need to know physics to know that hot and cold flow rates must be the same or the pressure in the room would change. cold air is more dense than the warm air so there would be a vertical stratification between the two densities, which would be unstable. The slightest perturbation (for example, from opening the window) would cause the situation to break down and the cold air would flow into the room from the bottom portion of the window while warmer air would then get pushed out the top assuming only one window was open.

you guys act as if they were trapped in a building on fire... LOL.

over-reaction over a situation that doesnt even exist anymore, and an situation that was never real.

EmperorIS 07-28-2015 04:35 PM

To be fair tho... he did stood there slupring his slupree while people were circling and asking around for the owner.
