It's been going on for years... And while we don't know who did this attack yet, it's all going to be somehow related... That's why many have been saying that it's just part of the downturn of Thailand for tourism. Many were expecting an attack like this, and travel advisories have been in place at various embassies
And BTW this is not the first bombing targeting shopping centres and tourist areas - it's the 3rd or 4th IIRC.
Not just two events. Unfortunately, I've known more than three people who are sick with radiation poisoning after staying in Japan for two, three weeks.
In addition, one individual, who was a health 20 year old guy, died of leukemia after returning from Tokyo and Osaka.
You do know that Fukushima nuclear power plant is still spewing radiation into our oceans?
I'm saying that the dangers of traveling to Asia, are greater now with events like this bombing, the explosion in China, and very unsafe food in Japan.
Shit is real, bro. When you know someone who passed away from leukemia after visiting Japan for only two weeks, it's a reminder about the dangers in some Asian countries.

Being Thailand, the potential causes behind this are far too numerous to try and guess
but I do recall reports of concerns that isis/isis supporters would be headed to that part of the world, but again, who knows
On a personal note, I am glad that my cousin Robert decided to come back to live in Burnaby instead of staying in Bangkok to teach English.
He said that it's not worth getting the respect as an ESL teacher from students if it means your life may be in danger with the shit going down in Thailand.
It was the first thing I was inclined to comment on when I scrolled over your post, because it involves a member here, rather than 15 (or 27) people I know nothing about.
Either way, sad story, more people dying cause of some crazy lunatic who probably has no idea what he is doing, or fighting for.
Studies have shown that terror acts are committed overwhelmingly by sane individuals who have carefully calculated and planned their crime in order to achieve a specific purpose. Rarely, if ever, are acts of terror committed by psychopaths or people that are "insane". As Skinnypupp pointed out, its usually the case that these individuals or groups are severely misguided in their beliefs.
