Compustar's new T11 3 MILE range security/remote start systems coming soon!

1 Attachment(s)
Compustar announced the release of what it called the most powerful remote start transmitters to date, with a record range of 3 miles.

The new PRO T11 is also waterproof and “the toughest 2-way remote in the industry,” said Compustar. Each button is reinforced with a metal plate for durability. And the unit is rated at IPX7, meaning it can withstand water at a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.

The transmitter is USB chargeable and will start shipping in late August.

Does this work with existing brains, and replaces the remote?
Or is it a completely new stand-alone?

I have the RF-P2W901-SS.

Will the unit cause massive power drains?

As far as I'm aware it will be compatible with the 6000 series brains and newer.

Price is about $99 more than the 901SS. So depending on which system you want. Alarm, Remote Start or Alarm/Starter Combo.

This won't draw any more/less current than any other Compustar system.

^Sorry, I may have been a bit unclear.

If it is compatible with existing brains/wiring, is it just a matter of buying the remote and programming it to the car?

Almost that simple. Need to replace the antenna and program it to the car.

Really shouldn't be anything to install. Unplug antenna then reprogram.

We'll have to see if the new antenna uses the same antenna cable or not.

I'll PM you one Tues. Thanks :)
