lol that guy got beat up pretty good. his face looks like a hamburger.
what an idiot. dumbest terrorist of the year award. being heard in the washroom preparing his rifle LOL.
the train is a good idea i'll give him that. no one running away and 300 rounds woulda done a lot of damage.

Shockingly for a DM article I think most of it is probably true.

It's all fine and well making light of this, but this nutbar had serious amounts of bullets. He has a captive audience to massacre.
It is of great fortune that these true heroes subdued this evil fucktard, tens if not one hundred ppl could have died.
I hope in Europe they start putting armed guards on trains, this is a train I have and will take many times and this really angers me.
What is it, once a month now that we have a jihadi attack in mainland Europe and UK - perhaps it's proof that the current system of immigration and integration (or marginalization) isn't working. It isn't going to stop.
Would love Cic's idiotic thoughts on this.
America the hero, jihadi the enemy... As was said, very interesting how this happened, scarily, I don't think it was staged or is a conspiracy issue, this is just a fucking retard and two heroes

Chances of being killed are minuscule, but that doesn't mean every effort shouldn't be made to learn from weaknesses in the system that could be used by an opportunist to attack the innocent.
Life in Europe is pretty damn great, but the socialist soft approach to immigration with the undertones of distrust of the "other" group has led to a marginalized group that has a tiny, yet visible, minority kicking up a storm.
If we live our lives in fear, the terrorists have won.
I'd rather live an awesome life of life's riches (beautiful scenery, great history, great culture) than run away and hide in fear of some whack job.

| France train gunman 'dumbfounded' by terrorism allegations
Suspect says he's not a terrorist. His former lawyer says that he found a suitcase with the AK and a burner phone in it and kept it. He only wanted to rob the train.
Riiiiiight.

Unless I'm mistaken, yes, terrorism happens everywhere, but Canada rather light on what's preventable.
Every country, every populace will have it's medically mentally unstable nut jobs. And those nut jobs with access to guns can and will go on a shooting rampage.
That's just the reality of living in a densely packed population.
What we don't have in Canada (or have very little of) is refugee migrants which refuse to assimilate,
which cling onto the religious beliefs that fucked up their origin country in the first place.
So yeah, terrorists? Home grown, statistically probable crazies.
Foreign-bred religiously motivated terrorists?
I think we're doing rather well actually.
Let's look at reality.
Canada's doing rather well.

Canada's doing rather well. | Given the global world we live in, I don't think anyone can have the arrogance to say "we're doing rather well" when ppl have died at the hand of jihadis and terrorists.

Jesus, you never stop with the Europe shit eh?
having home grown terror is a little different than having a continent full of extremists a short boat ride away.. Europe is far more vulnerable to this type of thing than Canada and specifically Vancouver imo

Yes, it's a problem, i'd say a huge fucking problem. but life goes on.
europe has homegrown terrorists, vancouver has a gang problem - nowhere's perfect, but you make what you will of it.
