The NRA is loving this. Every time there is a shooting the NRA says the government is going to take away our guns. Then there is a big increase in gun sales. Make more money for the gun companies who then donate more money to the NRA. Americans are so scared of the government taking away there guns that they are stock pilling ammo causing a shortage and big price increases.

The Sandy Hook tragedy couldn't even bring about lasting changes...America, nuff said.

All of the "white privilege" and "black lives matter" talk empowered this perpetual victim to feel that there was some big racist boogeymonster white woman he had to videotape the murder of because he was discriminated against.

In the 23-page document faxed to ABC News, the writer says “MY NAME IS BRYCE WILLIAMS” and his legal name is Vester Lee Flanagan II. He writes what triggered today’s carnage was his reaction to the racism of the Charleston church shooting:

“Why did I do it? I put down a deposit for a gun on 6/19/15. The Church shooting in Charleston happened on 6/17/15…”

“What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims’ initials on them."

It is unclear whose initials he is referring to. He continues, “As for Dylann Roof? You (deleted)! You want a race war (deleted)? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE …(deleted)!!!” He said Jehovah spoke to him, telling him to act.

Later in the manifesto, the writer quotes the Virginia Tech mass killer, Seung Hui Cho, calls him “his boy,” and expresses admiration for the Columbine High School killers. “Also, I was influenced by Seung–Hui Cho. That’s my boy right there. He got NEARLY double the amount that Eric Harris and Dylann Klebold got…just sayin.'"

In an often rambling letter to the authorities, and family and friends, he writes of a long list of grievances. In one part of the document, Williams calls it a “Suicide Note for Friends and Family."

He says has suffered racial discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying at work
He says he has been attacked by black men and white females
He talks about how he was attacked for being a gay, black man
“Yes, it will sound like I am angry...I am. And I have every right to be. But when I leave this Earth, the only emotion I want to feel is peace....”

“The church shooting was the tipping point…but my anger has been building steadily...I’ve been a human powder keg for a while…just waiting to go BOOM!!!!”

What can be done to deal with the level of gun violence in the U.S? -such a heated topic with gun owners wanting the right to bear arms under the U.S. Constitution vs. people who advocate more gun control.

Shit gets real every day in the USA when you have more guns than the entire U.S. population. :heckno:

American gun lovers are a dangerous combination of stubborn and stupid.

I'm not a gun supporter, far from it, but even the most strictest guns laws (look at Chicago) will not prevent these types of incidents. Idiots like this guy will always find a way to obtain a gun, if they can't obtain a gun than they'll resort to other deadly weapons like knives. There's no way to prevent these type of incidents.

I wonder if doctors ever analyze the brains of the people that commit these types of acts, like they do with dead Hockey players. It would be interesting to know about this guy's brain, because it seems like some sort of mental illness is often associated with these types of people.

I watched the video, and read some articles, did the newscaster/cameraman actually get hit? Injured? I don't see anything about that.

Some people can actually look at all that, and solely fixate on his weapon choice as the problem?

Pretty fucked up... He was standing there the whole time. Even drew his gun and pointed it at the reporter and then withdrew it and waited.
Unfortunate that she or the interviewer couldn't catch it in their peripheral vision. Cameraman had no chance....
