Went there to look at the 740i with the "beige" interior. It's... rough. Chap that kept an eye on me was pleasant enough. I have a feeling they'll have that car for 7k for a long, long time though.

Thanks you everyone for your replies, this has been very insightful!

Personally I'm in the market for a something like an Aristo, and their prices seem to be notably more affordable than local GS300s.

a) Tyee Imports seems to be the second largest importer presence, but I have heard mixed things about them as well. Are they less reliable than Velocity?

b) For those who have mentioned using a broker, are there any resources / guide / advice one might be able to share in regard to this? I don't even know where to start !

Thanks in advance.

this has been posted elsewhere and i think some people here have bought from derek... he is a BC expat living in japan:

Welcome | Pacific Coast Auto Imports

or maybe ask tofu1413. he has had enough personal jdm imports to start up his own lot imo

I had an poor experience dealing with the owner of Tyee. Additionally, a friend of mine from Winnipeg had an extremely poor experience. I can PM you his username on BimmerForums, you can ask him if you want.
