I suggest not upgrading your pokemon till you hit level 5. thats when you can battle gyms.

ya... realized that after I dumped stardust and all of my charmander candy into my charmander :lol

cp 200 venomoth got owned by a 300 drowsee in my gym battle (but he's on the same team wtf)

You can battle your own team's gym. It's training and will increase the gym's prestige which makes it harder to take down. Also you can add one of your own to the gym so that's another pokemon someone of another team has to defeat.

I tried to add mine, had no option.

I think the GPS is buggy, I'm sitting at home but managed to "travel" 1.7km (watching my egg incubation).

My character is running through neighborhoods, and I can grab Pokestop items as he runs through houses lol. After a minute or two, the GPS stabilizes, and my character RUUUUNS back to my house xD

Caught a few different pokemon and grabbed free items thanks to that lol

So far my highest CP is only 100 drowzee, and the bar is almost full, so he doesn't have much potential :<

i had that happen yesterday while eating at deer garden... but at my house, he just paces back and forth like an old man. There is a pokemon across the street, but he just can't pace far enough to reach it lol

It would be the option on the left of the pokeball. The option on the right would be a glove to train and battle your own team gym. Unless the gym was full. I cant remember if there was a limit or not.

When the app is officially launched in Canada, do we still get to keep all the pokemons/achievements etc? Or do we have to start from scratch?

Lots of people are worried they might ban people for using the APK though. Since it is not officially released, we are using/slowing down their servers, which affects the player base who actually have the official version.

I personally don't think they will ban anyone... but apparently the company banned people from their other game for doing something similar? (unless I read that wrong).

I can't remember the last time a game had different release dates for USA and Canada. Usually North America would mean both :[
