Girl gets cash from TD. Apparently saw some 'East Indians' eyeing her and suspects it was at that time they slashed her tires. Followed her til she got out of the car to check out what was wrong and smashes her windows to steal her purse in the passenger seat

Vancouver Police are investigating a brazen daylight distraction robbery.

Albee Yang says she withdrew $5,000 from a bank at Lansdowne Mall in Richmond Monday morning, then drove to meet a friend in Vancouver.

When she was on her way her tire blew up. She got out to check it and says two South Asian men ran over and robbed her of her purse and cash.

Police believe Yang was either targeted or followed.

We should set up a sting operation. Dress Timpo like a girl, sit him in his GTR and have him make a big withdrawl.

When the thieves strike, the RS Beatdown Crew will be there to save the day.

What is she doing getting her own cash? She's not the HBIC I thought she was!

Title was misleading.. Thought someone robbed the TD Bank... but it was someone who withdrew money that was robbed...

How effective are these guards at the bank anyway? They still get robbed. In my experience they just open doors and greet people as they come in.

It would be different if this was a country where guards stand outside holding a rifle.

Was the girl going to places that only have "cash only" service?

If she's a smart baller, she brings her credit cards with her so that at least she can call the bank to cancel them if she gets robbed.

Did she want to make it rain with all that cash?

Most unarmed security guards do fuck all, really. They're there mainly as a visual deterrence.

The field of security is more about customer service than anything. Security guards provide the illusion of safety. I work for Securiguard, and if shit ever went down, we're not allowed to intervene because of liability and safety issues. All we can do is objectively record whatever we see/experience in our company notebooks and report it to the cops if necessary.

Actually most robberies are very discreet in banks, there was a reddit thread which was an AMA for a guy who robbed over 500 banks. What he would do wis simply pass a note to the teller telling them to give him $5000. All tellers are trained to simply give the money to them and not cause a scene -- causing a scene can actually get you fired.

Curious to hear too. Don't think she would have gone far / left Landsdowne's parking lot with that slashed tire?

Name is already posted above. Not that hard to copy and paste that into the search bar on Facebook. There's 2 pics.

Honestly, $5k is really not that much. These girls easily carry 2-3k of cash at any time. She might have been withdrawing her "allowances" to spent for the week, to pay rent, [int'l] tuition fee, etc.

The LV / Channel / whatever bag that was stolen in the passenger seat was probably worth more than 5k already.

And come on, this is Richmond. Gotta pull out those $100 bill each time you order a bubble tea yo
