god forbid, but if birchwood BMW cant delivery the car by July, i might end up doing ED for next April. Quote:
I actually don't think the 1M will drop too much in price with the launch of the M2. and If i remember correctly, 1M has hydraulic steering, which should mean better steering feel. Though I drove the 991 this summer and found the steering to be good when it came to responsiveness and feedback. Too bad I wasn't in the market for a car when the 1M came out, nor could I afford one back then. |
BMW 1 Series M for Sale in Aurora, IL 60503 - Autotrader just did a quick search (couldn't find any for sale in Canada) 1M still more expensive than M2 new. Crazy..... |

Yep, and it has a claim on it apparently, albeit a small one. While the 1m is cool, and will be a collector car down the road, the M2 should affect its pricing because there is nothing about the 1M that sets it far apart experience wise from the M2. The m2 still has a manual, they are both turbo, both small and somewhat overweight, both a bit awkward looking (although I still love the way both of them look.) The nostalgia factor isn't strong enough on a 5 year old car to prop it up I don't think. |
im suspecting the launch of the M2 won't make a difference on 1M pricing. theres only 220 copies of those damn cars for Canadian market... and theyre still sought after. apparently black is the rarest. lots of fun to drive. Shorter, stubbier e9x m3 with more torque! https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...30&oe=576FE166 |

Embargo is lifted as of 6pm est tomorrow So we will start seeing reviews of the car. A lot of people assume the 1m will be more raw and have better steering feel due to the hydraulic steering. |
can't beat the on centre feel of a hydraulic system. |

For all the geeks out there like myself :nerd: |

I will leave this here M2 with full on M performance parts Anyone speak german  |
A little off topic Here is also a widebody kit made for 235i https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7341/...dfe4ea30_h.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7378/...8ca26200_h.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7437/...54933f4a_h.jpg Very clean looking widebody reminds me of a 1M widebody |
I personally prefer the m235 m performance front end over the M2, like the way it flows much better |

Fully loaded stock m235i is actually more expensive than a m2 Now this kit will probably cost a lot I do love that blue though Jury is still out on the LBB. I haven't seen one in person yet |
Whats the price diff btwn a new m2 and m4? Both base trims. |
Quote:
M2 is 61K so 14K diff? |
Quote:
m2 all the way! Congrats on the purchase |

a M235i fully loaded with all the options ticked is 62K for the rwd version but of course lower interest rate than the M2 and room for negotiation vs M2 are all basically sold at MSRP and you probably dont have to wait close to a year to get a M235i |
There's the video comparison we were looking for, no commentary but still |
Mineral Grey example sitting at BMW Canada. More pictures on the "Sick Cars of Vancouver" Thread. |
I know this is M2 thread but I spotted this today on commercial and its HNGGGGGGGGGG https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...87&oe=56CAB072https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...43&oe=56CA97F5 |
I'm a little shocked by that number on the dyno but figure it wasn't exactly done as well as it should have been. |
Great marketing idea: |
1m and m2, so much hnnnnng |
