Dirty car > swirls everywhere

Are there any good places that give a proper 2 bucket wash besides detailers?
I've always done shit myself so I'm not quite in tune with what services are out there

went for free wash today around noon time and spotted a Lexus rear bumper at first in the line up then drove closer to the front and saw chinese auntie parked right up to the curb and struck those bamboo plants on the side, ended up the car had to be towed blocking the massive line up

forgot to take some pics of the damage to post up but anyone on here sure got a glimpse of it

i drove by Saturday night while it was pouring rain and the line up was still out the curbside.

it's the "free" concept that is luring people in.

clean cars, new cars, old cars... all going in.

interestingly enough, while I was there I did a head count of how many are of asian descent and how many are driving newer models.

I can't say i wasn't surprised at the result lol.

I think Shine is very successful in their marketing campaign if they wanted to raise awareness of their new establishment.

Went though on Sunday morning, just happened to look up from my phone near the end of the wash, my front bumper was about 3 inches from the rear of the car ahead of me. Idiot decided to start tapping his breaks at some point through the drying stages and I had to lay on my breaks to avoid an incident.

The same moron was turning off his engine and going to sleep in line to get into the wash, attendant had to repeatedly yell at him to move his car forward in the line every couple minutes when there were about 5 car lengths empty in front.

^ that is completely and absolutely moronic to use your brakes in the drying section just to get a few more seconds ...

you are supposed to drive hard out of the lot, and air dry that way.

As much as I hate washing my car. If you simply do a clay bar once a year. Your car wash wouldn't even require any force to clean off dirt. Plus it looks clean even when its dirty. People always compliment how clean my car "looks", until ive told them I haven't washed the car since August and they take a closer look and see dirt spots.. The shinny glare takes away from the dirt. LOL

It says it does undercarriage washes? Does it really? I have been to the touch less North Van auto wash and the staff on duty does a wheel well clean with a pressure washer before you drive into the wash bay.

All 4 lanes were full so there was no room to get around him, and prior to that same problem where it was single lane, no room to pass.

Went in during a rainy day with a friend's c300, it was pretty packed still lol but not that bad. Just line up for the lane right outside of the wash. Went back with my parent's ML on a sunny day, line up practically almost until the entrance of the plaza lol. There's a brown guy who works there, I think he might be the manager or owner or something? Super chill and friendly guy, he made it a great experience. Overall the wash wasn't bad, with the ML there was still a bit of soap left on the windshield after drying, not sure if it was because of the rush or just the size of the car. Wheels were surprisingly clean. With the c300 it was great, no complaints. Wish I could bring my cars in there, but I already dislike the fact that handwash places don't wash their mitts (Senshaya does the whole car without even dipping the mitt once lol), wouldn't want to imagine how dirty the brushes from this place is :/

Because it's free I guess, and facebook hype? My friend went back in right after going out of the wash for no reason lol

The sticker is actually intact, but the print on the sticker is what came off.

the husky one is full touchless. the soap is really strong though. if your paint is not in great shape, it might be too corrosive for it. some parts of my car came out faded (red single stage 20 year old paint)

I have clear dashcam footage front and back of the pileup, so I guess i'll just wait to see what they say.

The attendants were putting cars through way too close, would not recomend going when it's completely packed, unless you want to get sandwiched between two cars.
Can you post the dashcam video?
