Need a hit and run video enhanced
 

Hey guys,

Long story short. I got hit and run incident on my vehicle. Due to the weather and low light conditions I can't see the plate # clearly. I was hoping one of you RS video guru's may be able help out with zooming in. If I can get some sort of partial plate # would be helpful.

Seems I'm not having much luck with my car lately. :*( :QQ:

I've enhanced your video and determined that yes, it was in fact raining that day.


Serious note check to see if your footage has the person in it and see what shop they came from. Possible they are a regular or you can get contact info. Just a thought.

Yeah the rain fucked me pretty bad. Not even finished with the VIP ordeal and now this.

hate to tell u this, but at that angle the lexus left and the rain is gonna make it impossible to find out the plate. do u have a rear cam? if u do u might have caught the plate when u reverse in, if u dont then GG

+1 - rain or not, you barely see the end of the plate on that angle, you'd get MAYBE the first character if it wasn't raining. Also, the compression is set pretty high, which reduces the quality a fair bit.


Possibility... could also be aimed at the parking lot. Doesn't hurt to ask them.

Wasn't finished fully yet. Needed to get some imperfections out and replace one piece.

I went to the store. They have his face on camera, he paid with cash though so can't get a name through Visa transactions. I know now he's likely South East Asian (Likely Filipino), older man 50-60. Couldn't get a plate number because of the weather and again video quality.

There's a surveillance shop next door, so I'll try them tomorrow. They have a hardcore camera. So hopefully it'll catch a plate and I can deal with this asshole.

Out of curiosity, what's the name of this "surveillance shop"?

does any of those shop or parking lot have surveillance camera?

Just a suggestion, would you happen to have caught the plate on your dash cam when you were parking your car?

That's only if he parked there before you did.

UPDATE: I went in to the grocery store to ask for a copy of the surveillance video so I could at least submit the video of his face, and then try and see when the surveillance store opened to ask them for a video. I was still a little discouraged but not much you can do.

As I come out, guess what car I see? A gold Lexus RX300. I hop in and give a short chase (he only went across the street). IT'S THE SAME FUCKER IN THE VIDEO. So I snapped a picture of his plate, and the damage on his car which match up with my video. My paint is still on his car.

So now I have my DVR footage, surveillance of him in the store, and getting into his RX, His plates number, and picture of the damage to his rear passenger fender. Talk about CRAZY luck.

BOOYA MUTHAFUCKA. Plates blurred for obvious reasons. Wait til ICBC settles the investigation.

Are you reporting it to the RCMP? He'd probably get a ticket for failing to remain at the accident scene.

awesome you found him but that video just looks like typical clueless driving as opposed to a malicious hit and run.
