turn off ipv6 as it leaks ur locale from what i read passingly edit: oh and turn off 'multi-homed name resolution' |
apparently my telus router is hardwired. i cannot change the DNS wtf. what routers do you guys recommend? small apartment, no need for crazy wifi. as long as everything works... |
can telus bridge the modem/router combo now? if they can't then its useless adding in another router. |

Why do you expect the ISP evaluation from IPLEAK.NET to change after you tell your computer to use Google's address book to resolve names to its IP equivalent? Edit: It seems like the "feature" Smart Multi-Homed Name Resolution might be the culprit here. This feature, when turned on, will use whichever DNS that responds the fastest. It seems like an easy fix if you're on a Professional version of WIN10, as opposed to Home edition.
