changing dns

soooo

ipleak.net detects my telus dns

so i follow this

Google Public DNS IP addresses

The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:
8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for alternate.

The Google Public DNS IPv6 addresses are as follows:

2001:4860:4860::8888
2001:4860:4860::8844

i do this and my vpn is on and no matter what i do ipleak still detects my telus

wtf am i doing wrong.

if i click on "validate settings on exit"... there is an error that it "checks for more solutions" and then it cant find any.

Is your ISP Telus?

Why do you expect the ISP evaluation from IPLEAK.NET to change after you tell your computer to use Google's address book to resolve names to its IP equivalent?

Edit: It seems like the "feature" Smart Multi-Homed Name Resolution might be the culprit here. This feature, when turned on, will use whichever DNS that responds the fastest. It seems like an easy fix if you're on a Professional version of WIN10, as opposed to Home edition.

Here is the article: https://www.bestvpn.com/blog/28318/w...f-dns-leaks-2/

Turn off Smart Multi-Homed Name Resolution: https://www.avast.com/en-id/faq.php?article=AVKB233
