other NSX owners would give a more educated opinion on this... if it's cosmetic and you are not into 100% originality... NA2 front conversion? but if there is structural damage... take payment for the car :( |
I would have it repaired in HK so you can at least send it to people you know, and also monitor the repair process. If in Japan, you don't know the bodyshop, you can't see imperfections that the photos cannot show after the repair and the car will get shipped back to HK until you see the imperfections in person. Thank you for the advice, thumper and swfk. I just posted on NSXprime. Also sent to a HK shop with experience restoring NSX the details. Awaiting their quote. Hoping to have new aluminum panels replaced instead of fixing. |
I'd get it fixed in HK with all new panels, by a shop of your choosing. |
That must be so sad to see. Sorry to hear. Looks like your on the right track though. |
what are your plans with the nsx? if its for resale then I would just get it fixed in HK with a shop that you know, if its for personal use and to be collected, I would ask for a full refund |

sorry but i can't help but wonder what did they drop on it :o |
the car seems to be in hk right now. might as well do the refresh program from honda and get the shipping line to pay for it |

The the poster with NSX, very easy fix imo, looks like a couple new panels and a respray of the front, no big deal. |

[QUOTE=prelude_prince;8757143]Debating over the weekend what to do with it. What do you guys think? It's actually really good condition before. Hard to find nowadays. having my NSX in an accident last year. I would say go ahead with repair as long as no frame damage. be prepare for a long wait time thou due to parts is harder to come by. my NSX got hit on the passenger side front. Visually is not a huge damage. Repair took almost 1 years, lot of time was waiting for parts. I still have to drop it off at Burrard Acura for the headlight. Passenger head light is not going down right now. So as long as you are ok for the long wait time i say fix it. It is harder and harder to come by for a clean NSX. http://i.imgur.com/Mw6jfMC.jpg |
