For sale is my 2002 Mazda Protege 5. Selling it because I'm looking to upgrade. Daily driven, no issues. Good on gas too, I get around 400-500km per tank. Well maintained and taken care of as the previous owner was a certified mechanic.
UPDATED AGAIN (Feb 8,2016): Asking $2099obo
I bought the car with 273,485kms; right now it is at 281,534kms and climbing. Previous owner claims the engine was replaced when the car had 117,xxx kms. Clutch engages smoothly and has tons of life. Great car for learning how to drive a manual transmission car.
Recent maintenance include (all done within the past couple months):
-new timing belt and clutch before previous owner sold it to me(he claims he did it in Oct 2014)
-new deck for AUX and CD
-new rear brake calipers
-new front wheel bearing
-new Dunlop tires
-oil change 5000kms ago
The Good:
-previous owner and I are not smokers and is a smoke-free car
-clean interior, no stains on carpet and seats
-no funny smells in the interior
-A/C works cold and heater works great too
-Roof rack WILL be included
The Bad:
-some small surface rust on the paint
-crack on the windscreen as well, doesn't affect frontward vision as the crack is located on the lower part of the windscreen
-usual dents and dings for an older car
Overall, it's a great car for someone looking to learn how to drive a manual transmission car and be able to carry lots of things in the car because of the decently sized trunk and even more room with the seats folded down. I've driven this car recently to Whistler there and back with no problems at all. Car doesn't need anything and ready to be driven home! Feel free to contact me through email.
