The game is too easy but the loot is too hard to get. Think about it. It takes no effort at all to beat challenge mode missions now and challenge mode incursion got legit beating within a day.
AND YET...farming loot it's still stupid difficult to get something that you want. Doesn't feel very rewarding. Running the same missions and DZ areas feel stale even though it's only been a month.
How much more fun would it be if that world was populated with stuff to kill that wasn't a pushover and had real rewards to it? Rare spawns? Unique loot?
Maybe they wanted a greater sense of emptiness like I Am Legend or something but I don't think that's what they were going for. They just severely underestimated the difficulty of their game. Have you seen the devs or PR people playing on their stream? They're awful at playing their own game.
They created this awesome world but there's so little to do. I guess that's the state of games now when AAA titles like COD last have like 6 hours of content.
They have absolutely top of the line graphics, art and lighting people working on this game. Even the story is pretty fun and the voice acting is very good all around even if the repetition is annoying. But they've got a pair of monkeys building content for this game...like they forgot to make things to do. I was shocked at how fast you could level and basically be "done", coming from my years of WoW where it took months if not an entire year to accomplish things.
I agree with Ronin, there really isn't a lot to do and there hasn't been for weeks. Even the new content doesn't add much, you run around aimlessly. I'm a gluten for punishment I still keep logging on running around killing shit wondering what the fuck am I doing this isn't really fun.
The two friends I leveled with when the game came out quit playing weeks ago, they were so burnt out by nothing to do they couldn't be bothered to login and even see what the Incursion is about. They basically said no content, games boring moving on to Overwatch.
I login, do a level or 2 in the DZ and logout. I get ganked every time I'm in the dark zone which adds more frustration but I understand why people do it.........there is nothing else to do. I don't think I've gotten any gear that's an actual upgrade in 2-3 weeks, I'm using the same weapons I was using in week two. Sure you can put stuff on that increases your gear score but it's actually worse stats then everything I have with a lower score, pretty fucking stupid.

I've only logged in to play like 2 or 3 times the past week. Play one hour tops and log off.
Yesterday, finally beat Hard Mode Incursion. I figured after 1 week of incursions, the general population would know what they are doing, and tons of youtube guides are out.
First 2 match made teams were garbage still, they didn't know what they were doing. I almost wanted to give up incursions altogether.
Finally ended up on a team of 3 (2 players + me), and we beat it pretty easily because they knew what they were doing.
Ended up getting 2 tactician set pieces, (ilvl 31 and 32). Instantly scrapped them and logged off...
Most people that play this game are terrible players, especially if you're on console.
If Falcon Lost was in WoW, it would be Flame Leviathan...almost universally recognized as the easiest raid boss in that game. Actually, it's probably even easier than FL as there are way fewer mechanics. It's basically shoot things and push a button.
It's stupidly easy and yet people still fail so hard.
Glutton gluten potatoe potato......I've had one of those days.
