There's bad people in every racial group, it would be ignorant to say that "all Filipinos are amazing and all mainland Chinese are terrible". Same thing goes for White people and hillbillies, Black people and n*ggers (to use a Chris Rock reference), East Indians and Surrey jacks, etc.

IMO everyone I know who is Filipino fucking hates those type of scammers, more often than not they are lower-class and find that scamming people out of their hard-earned money is easier than getting a real job with dignity. That and that Canada is notorious for being "too nice", there's no real risk of them getting anything more than a harsh lecture which they just brush off... basically, they do it because they can, and know that they will most likely get away with it because the majority of Westerners are too nice to do anything about it.

I'm a light skinned Filipino, mistaken to be Chinese most of the time. I used to date a Chinese girl and it was until then that I found out that the Chinese refer to us as Mangoes and no offence to the Chinese but sometimes are mildly racist. For example, I wouldn't date my ancestors maids or whatever lol. I have spent a couple weeks in Hong Kong and I know there are a lot of Filipino maids and that they have their picnics together in the park or something on Sundays because that's the only day they have off or whatever
