Water Injection System•First in a production road car
•Achieves similar levels of cooling found in the standard M4
•Water injected as fine spray into intake manifold where it evaporates, lowering intake air temperature (by additional 80° F) and reducing final compression temperature in combustion chamber, thus minimizing risk of knock and allowing higher boost pressure and advanced spark timing.
•3 water injectors in the intake plenum chamber each supplying water to 2 cylinders, for uniform distribution.
•1.3 gallon water tank, water pump, sensors, valves all housed in trunk underfloor
•Pump supplies water to injectors at approximately 145 psi.
•Water injection quantity varies depending on load, engine speed and temperature, keeping water consumption to a minimum.
•Maintenance free except for top ups
•The BMW M water injection system is equipped with a sophisticated self-diagnosis system. If the water tank runs dry, or in the event of a system malfunction, appropriate measures are taken to protect the engine.
•When engine is turned off, all water in hose system is drained into the tank to prevent system components from icing up.

Steering•Adapted to the BMW M4 GTS
•No elastic section in M4 GTS steering column for improved feedback
•Steering torque curve optimized by modifications to the front suspension kinematics and incorporating asymmetric steering support mounts and a motorsport-derived, custom-designed, milled swivel bearing which allows optimized axle geometry for lateral dynamics and steering torque.
•Swivel bearing also allows the use of 9.5 inch wide front wheels
•Front camber set to minus degree setting for increased cornering lateral forces
•Higher damper clamp with the ball joint in the front axle support mount results in substantially increased camber stiffness and provides faster response to lateral forces, which is already enhanced by the wider wheels (19 inch front wheels / 20x10.5 inch rear).

I'm not a fan of the orange accents on the wheels/lip, but that is brutally fast.

I don't think you'll see many of these on the road.
Only a true car enthusiast will appreciate this.

I think a lot of your rich Asian fan boys will go for the flashier brands

I like everything about the car minus the wing....but if it's functional I suppose it'll grow on me.

If you really do hate the wheels that much. BMW offers Carbon wheels option for $12,500cdn.

The options list for the BMW M4 GTS will include M Carbon Compound wheels (front: 9.5 J x 19, rear: 10.5 J x 20), whose innovative material characteristics bring about a significant reduction in unsprung and rotating masses and therefore have a positive effect on the car’s acceleration and deceleration, steering responses and vibration levels.

Designed for the race track yet also approved for road use, this technological showpiece is therefore the world’s first series-produced vehicle that can be fitted with wheels boasting a CFRP/aluminium-composite construction. They enable around seven kilograms to be shaved off the weight of a BMW M4 GTS fitted with the already extraordinarily lightweight forged aluminium wheels specified as standard. Rim wells in exposed carbon also lend the BMW Carbon Compound wheels exclusive visual accents. The wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres adapted specially for the BMW M4 GTS (front: 265/35 ZR19, rear: 285/30 ZR20).

i literally only like the figures and the taillights. The copper accents and that wing is puke. I would rather a normal M4 and if i feel like it needs more power/refinement then ill go for some modifications.

Reminds me of the AMG black series cars. Impressive, but ugly. I'd love to drive one, but I'd have to walk out to it blindfolded every day. I'd much rather have a stock m4 and a modding budget.

I'd take off that wing asap.

yup theyre stock, LTW wing on the e36 and CSL trunk lid on the e46

Those orange accents are terribly executed. Reminds me of XXR wheels. Also even the carbon wheels aren't particularly good looking either.

The E46 csl looks great. But not a fan of those wheels and wing on the e36 ltw.

I heard the price is north of $150K? as wicked as the M4 GTS is on paper, I would take a 991 Carrera 4 GTS over a M4 GTS.

I was just about to post that video. The frozen dark grey looks good, but I don't think I can deal with the care it needs.

They need to put more effort on that wing, looks out of place. Otherwise, it's sick.

I agree they could of maybe shaped the wing to fit better with the car.

I don't mind the acid orange accent and if I were to buy one. It would be in alpine white.
