No. I wasn't sure it was him till I checked plate # later. My mistake. Need to keep a list of plate #s since I drive all day everyday for work.

What I don't get is that cops have a stolen veh. report, plate #, description, name ( and adress from it ) and he still drives around like that? There is no way he wasn't spotted by cop by now. Like there is almost no point to call it in anyway.

Probably still worth calling it in as soon as you realize you saw a stolen car. Even though it might be a few hours later it could still help get the fucker arrested.

At least they dress in a way that makes it easy to spot and avoid them.

Guy stole my GF's EG from the back of our appt building. We lived on the 9th floor. I heard it start up so I grabbed my keys and ran down 9 flights of stairs and hopped in my car. This took less than 30 seconds. Hopped in my EK and followed the guy he was barely a block away. I was on the phone with the police at this time telling them where we were driving to. Turned left onto Nanaimo from Broadway and there is a center meridian there. So I pulled in front of him and then hammered the brakes. He rear ended me and stalled the car. I jumped out wearing only boxers and he started panicking. The door was locked so I punched out the window and wrapped the seatbelt around his neck. Put my foot on the door and started pulling telling him the only way out is to open the door. So he opened the door. I dragged him out and held him until the cops got there a few minutes later.
He tried telling the cops I assaulted him and the cops response was "Did you see that guy? You're lucky he didn't kill you" Cops gave me a handshake and a job well done. ICBC covered the damaged rear bumper on my EK and the damage on the EG.
