| Removing Roof Spoiler
Hi there,
There's a roof spoiler on my car that had been installed by the previous owner. I was wondering what would be the easiest way to remove this without damage to either the spoiler or car?
Thanks

Thanks | Would help if you mentioned what car...
If it's a hatchback, most likely screwed/bolted in.
If it's a lip spoiler on a sedan/coupe, probably just stuck on with 3M.

heat it up with a hair dyer and then use dental floss to "saw" it off. Then use Goo Gone or Duct tape to remove the glue residue.

Is it the ACS style one that is double side taped on glass? Just use a razor blade to take off residue with soapy water if it's glass

I just tried but it seems too difficult to saw through, especially given the position of the roof spoiler, and the floss keeps breaking. Would anyone happen to have fishing line to make it easier?

Heat and lots of patience. Would not touch fishing line could scratch your shit.
After use goo gone to clean up but could be a bitch too.

Any pics of what your spoiler looks like? Is this oem? Trying to see what you have to see if we can suggest any other methods.
Dental floss usually is sufficient though. If it's not, probably means the adhesive hasn't been heated up enough and the floss is being forced, and forcing could lead to scratching.
