if you had to pay 7-8K more in taxes to wait for an M2, you sure don't want to consider an M3? 20K is a lot more, but you could save 8K in taxes, that makes it much better Plus, I am assuming $0 discount on the M2? Usually you can get 5-6% off on an M3, so you save another $4500. I am biased tho, I like the look on the M3 a lot more than the M2. I would pay $20K more for the M3 if I can afford it. (in your case, the difference might be less than 10K after the taxes and discount difference) You might have a hard time finding a manual M3 in stock tho. All the dealers I asked only kept auto in stock. |

Though I'd go for the M4 over the M3 I think But after seeing the M2 today at the auto show....I really like the look of the car, it doesn't look too small and I love the front end and the rear fender bulges. I think I will end up ordering a 2017 from a Toronto dealership and just play the waiting game. |

i know that's only like the 15% of the price but still i guess with the glowing reviews and limited initial production profiteering was bound to happen...either through craigslist or dealership markups. even if i had the cash i would not want it that badly to go this route...this an early adopter premium as there will eventually be more supply...not a scarce aircooled Porsche that's appreciating in value because of dwindling inventory. if you're itching quite badly for a fun car i'm sure there are many other worthy used vehicles for a fraction of the price that will keep you entertained in the meantime and could probably break even when you sell once the M2 inventory is a bit more established. |

limited availability similar to the 1M? he needs to get his head out of the clouds, the M2 is supposed to be a mass produced vehicle. |
Lol 10k premium just for the spot. Just buy something used, M3, AMG. New car feel aint all that after couple months. |
used M4 coupe pricing dropping like bricks......... and i've got one that just landed here. :lawl: |

naw man. DCT. :okay: damned quick though. :lawl: been watching the market, the F8X chassis cars are dropping. E9X M3's are still holding pretty solid. |
Yeah, m4 with low low miles are in the low 70s. Why don't you pick one up for a 1 or 2 yrs and when the m2 hype dies down a bit trade it in for a m2... For same money, I would take a 18 month old m4 with 10k Kms and extended factory warranty |

lol go look at black book on the 2015 M3's..... you see it you'd be like :okay: market price is one thing, and those that are priced in the 80s arent selling. im sure by summer they'd fall into the low 70's even 60's range edit// Revscene special for preowned F8X chassis cars for all! :lawl: |
Wow they really are dropping quick. It'll easily be a mid 40k car in couple more years. |
A full optioned M3/M4 is around $85K + freight and fees no? (not including the carbon ceramic brakes) On autotrader the prices are around $75-82K.. Not that big of a discount used.. I think M4's depreciation will pick up when the 4-series facelift comes. |
Hmm after seeing the M2 in person I'm sure not into the long beach blue colour. Really doesn't do much for the car. Would have liked to sit inside it to feel the comparison to the drivers seat of my m3. |
