Try calling local vinyl shops. If you dont mind the occasional ticket / getting pulled over more often then why not. Fuck the haters. I think they're pretty cool.

AzNightmare 04-22-2016 08:03 AM

What's the point of a sticker? You'll get a ticket regardless with a sticker or without a front plate.
Might as well just go plate-less.

sometimes they're less noticable, and a cop might let it go vs no plate at all.

Plate relocation > sticker

PDA_86 04-22-2016 09:14 AM

I find it even more pointless for those who put their front plate on their dash.

plat27265 04-22-2016 09:29 AM

Driving on public roads is a privilege, not a right. Follow the rules and attach that front plate. Not sure why OP wants to have a sticker fabricated to look like the front plate. If the front plate was stolen or lost, report it to ICBC immediately. A sticker would look cool and nice but there is a reason why ICBC is the only agency issuing plates. If stickers are available, crooks will use them to steal cars and do their illegal activities. I know front plates do not make cars look good but its the law. Law enforcers turn a blind eye on it most of the time. But, if you get caught, you'll suffer the consequences. Front plates in BC area fact of life.

I'd argue that not running plates on cars designed for plates (so you just have bare brackets sitting there) looks infinitely worse than having to add a front plate to a car does.

but my naturally-aspirated 4 banger needs fully unrestricted air flow

These sticker license plates look lame.
Folding or modifying your plate looks lame.

As for the petition, just use a front plate, the law is there for a reason. I don't give a fuck what Alberta does, its a lame province.

Wouldn't mind seeing front plates become optional / not required.

:seriously:

Well I was gonna give you full price for that Lambo, but since there's a front plate on it, I'll only give you $400 and a bag of pucks.

I read in Ontario they've impounded cars with sticker plates.

underscore 04-26-2016 10:24 PM

Ontario is the California of Canada when it comes to cars, it's terrible out there.

Manic! 04-27-2016 12:24 AM

Out of all the illegal mods people do on RS it's a sticker that gets everybody's panties in a bunch.

Mr.Money 04-27-2016 01:37 AM

The law of not being able to tint your driver and passenger window, now THAT one is fucking stupid. Is 35% too much to ask for???

Reeyal 04-27-2016 07:06 AM

Only 2 out of 10 provinces allow front window tints.
