Where to get my windows tinted.

Any suggestions? Preferably in Surrey, but I don't mind travelling for good work.

Yuki at brookswood tint in Langley on the bypass behind Toyota, he does fantastic work, is quick, and will give you a great price. Easy to work with too, great guy

GeeGeeCivic 05-01-2016 08:36 AM

+1 for Larry. Excellent and quality work. Very competitive pricing.
He will actually go to you as long as you have a closed garage (I believe he needs to work in a closed garage to minimize dust).

I recently got my civic done at Yao Bong in richmond and they did a great job. Go to Yao Bong, walk across to aberdeen mall, eat some Chef Hung beef noodle soup, go back to Yao Bong and

I went to PH solar. $200 for back 7 windows (for ML350) and was done super fast. Even though the rear panel glass was short a sliver and I wasn't satisfied they redid it 3 times on the spot.

was told it would take 2 hours, done in 40 minutes and then redid my rear window 3 times took another 15.

That's exactly why I go to Yao Bong and try to book an appointment around lunch time! Drop off car, have lunch, walk around a few stores and go pick up car.

They do good work too. I first used them 6 years ago. I most recently had 2 cars done last summer.

bump.

i left voice mail last week at the number listed on the website that was posted above:

W&A Window Film Tinting

but my call was not returned. can someone confirm that he is still doing this?

also, for those who have had work done by him in the past, what brand of film does he use, and can he do a winshield tint banner?

(ie. would be same as below on a rav4)

i found larry. he said he could only do a straight cut strip which is not what i wanted :(

so i just made an appointment to go to n-motion. they say they have a cutting machine that can precut a windshield tint strip that will match the curve of the glass instead of the typical that drops off on the sides for $50... is that good?

E-SPEC 09-16-2016 01:51 PM

Larry tinted my gauge cluster 15% he's awesome.

Street Legal Tint and Detail in Surrey was great for me.

Acura604 09-16-2016 09:20 PM

Got quoted $175 for rear 5 windows of a 2016 civic sedan. Brooks wood tint. Good price.

jtrinh 09-16-2016 11:52 PM

If anyone decides to go N-Motion, inspect their work afterwards thoroughly. Not sure if different tints(solar gard, 3m, llumar) are harder to work on than others or if their installer is having a bad week/month, but they didn't do a spectacular job on my car. Many creases and areas with dust and they also burned a trim piece with a heat gun. Already booked to bring the car back. Hopefully they will rectify the issues.

Brookswood has tinted both of my vehicles and applied a clearbra on my 2015 F150, no problems with either product. Good prices too.

We use Nixon from Street Legal.

Great guy and car enthusiast and does great work.

I got my tint done a year ago and I wasn't satisfied with their quality of work. One of the edges wasn't cut properly. I returned the same day and told them to replace the tint. The installer couldn't fix it properly, but luckily the owner was there so I just dealt with him. He replaced the tint right away.

I think they need to hire a better installer. I went there like in early 2000 to get my tint done and I had no issues, that's why I thought I'd go back but this time the case is different.
