Another thing that we loved about Rome were the coffee bars they had setup all over the place. We saw a bunch as we got off the Rome Termini train station and then every block it seemed like there was one. Walk up and pay like 1-2 euros for an espresso and then you drink and go.
Absolutely agree. We stayed a 10 minute walk from Termini and it was lovely. People go into the coffee bars, talk for about 2 minutes, drink up their espresso and leave.
Also love how simple and delicious the pizza was. Ordering a pizza with each slice having their own different topping.
I was however fairly disappointed with the pistachio gelato all around Italy. Every place tasted more like hazelnut than anything.

Can't go wrong with most of them but my favourite is Zaccary’s Special (Spicy) Roasted chicken, sun dried tomatoes, basil, roasted garlic, tomato sauce, chillies, and real mozzarella cheese
The guy is usually pretty rude but maybe because he's busy slammed pumping out half a dozen pizzas at a time, but one time I went while it was slow. He was just chilling there eating his dinner while he was making my take-out order. We chatted and he offered me a couple slices of the pizza he was eating while I waited, it was freakin' delicious! Too bad he said it's not on the menu because he just picked up whatever was fresh at the market that morning and baked it into a pizza.
For the basic, cheap pizza, my go to in Surrey is Non Stop Pizza. 20 bucks minimum delivery, two 3 toppings and a coke for $19.99, with six vegetarian samosas for 3 bucks to take it over the limit. Brown ingredients like paneer, tandoori/butter chicken are my favorites.
I legitimately wonder what RS' go to for cheap party/drunk as fuck pizza is...
My go to "cheap" pizza is newton pizza in south Surrey. They got awesome combos, don't skimp out on toppings (nor go over the top) and their wings are usually pretty good (although the ones I got last night were the first bad ones I had. No sauce on em).
Locally my favorites are Neighbors Restaurant on Victoria and Best Neighbors on Cambie I think..
Got baked one night and drove to best neighbors thinking it was Neighbors..didn't look familiar...lol
Anyone who listens to TSN1040 frequently will know Johny at best neighbors, presumably the owner, is a frequent caller and critic of coaches/management lol

I find Neighbors on Victoria better than the Cambie one.
Also if anyone vacays to Banff, go to Red Rock Pizza in Canmore.
