was chillin', listening to 70's on 7 on Sirius XM. I love the Rebecca Pidgeon's version of this classic, but this rendition recorded in 1971 by Aretha Franklin............... not so much. Rebecca's voice..... so angelic. Must play on decent system to get full effect. Love the shaker, btw. |

Congas, ftmfw! |
After looking up into the sky to find Jupiter, come inside and chill to this............. I have this music DVD featuring Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire together Live at the Greek Theatre in LA. Performed in 2004. Old af, but still powerful. Anyway............ funk/jazz/rock and rolled into one. BTW, Kalimba, ftmfw! |
Been seeing this a lot recently...... They should play this at Canucks' game when San José is in town, gulolol. |
Bending the rules a bit......... 60's song, but still (pun intended) a great song. EDIT: Album was released in 1970! Crosby Stills, Nash, and Young (CSNY). https://www.guitarplayer.com/players...-your-children |
Cosmos Factory by CCR. Hits from other albums |

I heard the story behind the origins of the song on 70's on 7 (Sirius XM). The story was just too crazy to be true. Turns out it was like something from a myth busters episode. BUSTED! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian...okee%20Indians. One of my all time favourites. |
Blood Sweat and Tears.............. amazing horn section. |
Every time I hear these two songs, it reminds me of my aunt. She was one of the first white women to marry an Asian. Back in those days, it was pretty much unheard of. I was in awe of her. She was tall and quite good looking from what I recall. We got along very well, through music. I was always listening to the radio. We sang to many a songs together. Sadly she passed away at a fairly young age. A tragic death. These two songs were her favourite. She also listened to Tom Jones a lot. Anyway............ |
Jerry Reed........... did not know he sang these songs. Cot Dam.......... Burt Reynolds and Sally Fields. Amos Moses. I crack up every time I hear it. Lots of interesting stories floating around on the Internet about the life of Jerry Reed. |
