I really wish people would post all these meets in the proper section so I know where to go every weekend. Always miss these cool shows

I randomly found out about this one from Facebook, luckily it flashed across my news feed one day. There are surprisingly quite a few of these meets at the quay this year but this was the first one I got to go to.

I can't remember how I found out about it but it was through FB. Oversold and packed at 220 cars, they were expecting 60-100. Really well organized, had CNC'd metal trophies for all the categories. But it was mainly centered on classic Japanese, with only one category for "Neo Classic", which had all kinds of newer rides.

I took a bunch of photos, will be posting soon.

Timpo 08-29-2016 01:17 AM

what qualify as a classic car?

R34 GT-R is classic??

asian_XL 08-29-2016 03:22 AM

Z240 with LS engine, facelifted NSX, IS300, S15, and 350Z, you should call it a Timpo meet rather than the Japanese classic meet

Kure GS 08-29-2016 07:34 AM

Classics, or not, a shout out to the organisers for opening up their venue. Sounds like they plan to double the size next time.

Sweet pics

hud 91gt 08-29-2016 08:37 AM

Thanks for the pictures. What was the show generally populated with? Your pictures make it seem there was more "neo" classics compared to the older classics.

white rocket 08-29-2016 09:32 AM

Darn, would have loved to have seen this. More pics please.

Kure GS 08-29-2016 12:52 PM

The All Japan Classic Facebook site has a list of the cars by class. There were 44 Neo-classic of all makes and 55 Nissan "Classic" (Mainly 510 and 240)

As Kure said the balance was quite good between the "neo" and "classic" classes honestly I had the most fun walking around in the 510/240 section. There were so many variations of the 510 especially which was awesome to see for me personally. Most of all I think I just enjoyed the atmosphere of the meet everyone seems to be having fun. Here's a couple more pics I got took from the meet:
