Brand New Local F150s exported to China

Ever wonder where all the local brand new King Ranchers, Lauriats, Raptors, Platinums, or other luxury pickups all go to?
illegal exports and smuggling is no longer exclusive to new GLS' or Range rovers.
There is high demand for american pickups and muscle cars in china. who knew?

this is how to transporting pickups across the pacific ocean

remember this one, Brown Brothers? hehe. they are in china now.

from cam clark. remember who it was sold to?

remember these ones, west coast ford?

new owner approves

gotta pass the chinese inspection

all the way exported from edmonton! kentwood ford! in China roads now.

this batch of shipments all lined up for Chinese grey market consumers

these look like they were brand new bought from dealerships with everything paid for and exported, but for the past how ever long, people were "leasing" or "financing" GL(now GLS) and land rovers along with other high end vehicles, and then reporting them to be stolen after driving them for a month or 2. what happened to the vehicles? they were being shipped back to china and sold at a premium but still considerably less than buying brand new from within china. the seller gets paid $10K CAD cash, while ICBC pays the dealer for the costs of the stolen vehicle. that is y now a days buying any new vehicles that are high in demand, u'll need to sign papers agreeing u will not be exporting the vehicle within the first year of ownership, which imo doesnt do much to deter this from happening.

I heard from a friend that if the vehicle is exported within how many days (I think he said 90 days), you can claim the tax back.

I wonder if you could flip the upcoming raptor in China even though they are going to sell a Chinese domestic market one.

I am guessing the trucks were pushed in with a forklift or something.
The wood beside the tires are to keep the truck from hitting the sides.

When we still had the HST, my friend was exporting X5's and ML's to China.
When the cars were bought, he had to pick them up with a tow truck and was not allowed to drive them around.

How can a dealership / manufacturer do this? Once a vehicle has been purchased and paid for, it becomes a property of the new owner and I can't imagine how the dealership / manufacturer can continue to exercise any influence on the new owner.

Of coures, they can refuse to sell to anyone whom they suspect will be exporting the vehicle to an out of country gray market. But IMO, that is a completely ineffective measure.

"Patriotic" Chinese nationals are supposed to say America is an evil empire that continually atempts to sabotage the Great China. Especially given the recent South China Seas spat, they are supposed to ban / boycott any American made products.

Oh wait... That patriotic Chinese fellow gotta answer a call on his brand new iPhone7 and take a sip of his $tarbucks coffee before continuing to toot his anti-America rhetoric.

Just looked it up and its true. Here the form to fill out, seem pretty easy to do.

https://www.sbr.gov.bc.ca/documents_...0355mvfill.pdf

They are having international students or non residence to buy these vehicles, have them exported within 30 days. PSt is refunded after filling out this form and providing the proper documents, seems pretty easy and straight forward.

you are looking at around 50-65k (plus taxes) for those trucks (depending on trim and options). So it would be over 4k after its been exported. I am not sure if there is a way to get the GST back.

So Canadian dealers are making money selling these things (local economy and all that) but we don't have to deal with shitty American trucks running around? This is a win-win.
