Which gas station has the best points cards?

As the title states, just want to get an opinion.

Superstore.

7 cents back for every liter with the PC Financial World Elite.

That's if you buy most of your groceries from Superstore.

Esso isn't bad if you have an aeroplan card and aeroplan credit card

The pump sticker at Grandview/Richmond say 91 has 0% ethanol, so I'd guess Shell.

I am definitely going to check this out. Funny how the PC Financial website only shows Esso as their gasoline partner, and not list the Superstore gas stations at all...

I also find that AirMiles go on their 10x bonus miles promotion often enough that it is pretty easy to rack up enough points for some free gas, but only if you use their V-Power gas.

Note that it's 10 Airmiles for 25 or more litres per fill. So you max out your miles by only pumping in 25 litres at a time.

You also get 10 extra miles when you pump 225 litres in a month.

90 miles = $10

Yes, it's a bit of a PITA to only fill up 25 litres each time. I especially hate not fill up the whole tank since I track my gas mileage, and the numbers are only accurate if I fill the whole tank.

But whatever... When you're a cheapa$$, you do what you have to do to eek out every last penny...

We have a few Costco gas stations here on the island (3?) . 2% back with the costco credit card.
It is usually 5-7 cents cheaper than regular gas stations stores in general.

I'm using Esso with aeroplan visa and aeroplan card. so many points per fill up! you'll get plane ticket wherever in no time.

i used to use shell v power with air miles but i found premium gas at shell to be more expensive. the promo sometimes with 10x need you to buy some snack or drink in the convenience store.

Does anyone have any experience with the points cards down in the states? Its the only place where I get my gas if I can help it. Never looked into it, always assumed you had to be a resident of the US to sign up but I could be wrong...

Yeah I just noticed Chevron has stopped taking the MORE Rewards card... it's not a deal breaker, but maybe I'll switch over to Shell for Airmailes. However the one closest to me doesn't have 94 octane.

I use the Fuel Rewards card that works with Shell in the States:

https://www.fuelrewards.com/

I don't know -- and quite honestly, don't care -- whether I need to be a US resident to sign up for it. I just got mine a long time ago from the Point Roberts Shell station, and I don't even remember what they needed to do to get me set up.

10 cents off per gallon is pretty good, I guess?

I've been going to various Shell's in the past 6 months and I've only seen 91 octane as the highest. I think Chevron is the only source for 94 octane.

Curious to know who supplies Superstore gas. My parents have been using Superstore 87 for now 16 years in their Mazda MPV and now CX-9, both from day 1 of ownership every time - as they get groceries from superstore.

No issues came up relating to gas quality.

I alternate between Shell 91 and Superstore 91, have noticed no difference.

For points it's hard to beat esso Aeroplan or petro points if you like the odd free cheap stuff (chips, pop, etc.) but shell with air miles is the best gas and offers points. Chevron was up there but now that they've stopped MORE points... I'd go with shell. Quality of gas is far superior and air miles are always good

I'm personally not interested in getting air miles. Would rather have money back. It sounds like PC is the best choice.

Shell has a 60 Air Miles for $60 in fuel offer that's also part of a free movie ticket promo right now and it stacks with the 20X Shell V-Power promo.

So I got 80 Air Miles and a free movie ticket for 3/4 tank of gas
