My aunt is currently paying $70 for her bill on Fido. Would she be able to get this plan as well? Probably right? I'm going to have to call in for her tomorrow.
If not I'm totally switching her over to virgin mobile instead. Lol

i think if they are on contract u can't could be wrong tho

Do not go on Virgin or Fido with this plan. Both companies have a history of price matching competitive plans on the market to only jack up the price a few months after they've suckered people into subscribing.

Public Mobile is a better option as they have a good history of grandfathering plans, so even if they raise the prices in the future, you'll likely be grandfathered on your existing one.

I dont think theyll jack up your plan once you obtain it. Ive been off contract for a year with fido. Took over someones grandfathered plan and never changed after the contract is over. Its not like telus tv and shaw where they jack up the prices when your contract is over.

I'll be switching over to Virgin today. paying 80 after tax with rogers, they wont offer anything, yes I have a great 6GB superplan, but i dont even use that and will head over to virgin to save $40 a month.

I'm on the fence with this $40 Fido deal. They can jack up the price whenever they want later on and I'll be paying just as much as a typical normal phone plan...

I am with Bell and they already jacked my plan up $5/month awhile ago because I am off contract.

Nabatron 11-18-2016 08:43 AM

^I would just monitor it and if they do jack up the price then just leave its not like your locked into a contract

alwayslive 11-18-2016 08:44 AM

I just joined the plan yesterday. Yes, they can jack up the price. But if they do I will just cancel because there is no contract lol.

I'm on their so called "loyalty" plan that's off-contract. If I wanted to get the same features, I'll be paying way more later on if I were to go back to my carrier originally haha.

I was checking out my account and it turns out I got 2x Autopay rewards. Ended up getting $12 in my account.

Guess I got lucky!:alonehappy:

just got the $40 plan on Virgin, couldn't be happier. The rep was awesome, was quick, no hassle. Even waived the sim card fee and there is another promo starting tmr which will give us 1000 long distance minutes added with no extra cost.

Rogers wouldn't even listen to me, or provide me with any credits.
I'll be happy with $45 extra in my pocket every month, heck even signed my wife over and she got 10% off hers. 2 bills will be less than 1 bill of rogers.

-just signed up for the $40 for 4GB plan with Virgin. Good service by the rep at the Virgin kiosk.

-good benefits from the Virgin Benefits app too like buy one get one free movie ticket, deals on restaurant meals, concert tickets, travel etc.

It is truly better to be a member at Virgin Mobile. LUL

Ive been month to month with fido for years and they never jacked up the price. It woukd be bs if they suckered all these people in just to screw them over!

dn53 11-20-2016 11:23 AM

I signed up for Virgin as well. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes (me and two others did it in that time from 1 rep). There was no lineup. if you do it at the Source you get a $50 gift card as well.

The lineup at fido was insane last night :lol

Koflach 11-20-2016 05:59 PM

My wife and I went to the mall today at 5:30pm to port our number over to fido from rogers. The lineup at fido was out the door but there was no lineup at all 2 stores to the right at wireless wave. So, we went to WW instead. I told the guy at the counter about the lineup at fido and he told us he'd waive one of the sim card fees if we told the people in the lineup there was no lineup at WW. long story short, we got a free sim card and managed to get everything done smoothly. Thanks Wireless Wave in Willowbrook.
