$949 laptop dropped to $499.
I don't know if this is a decent laptop or flaming hot garbage, but it seems like a good deal.

Man, I was on RFD and looking at that Sous Vide cooker and I should not have waited. I still ended up buying it.
I had sous vide twice and the meat was absolutely ridiculously amazing.
My mom should enjoy this!

The HD on my unit was sluggish though. Could use an SSD upgrade if you're going to be using this for day to day duties. However, my perception is probably skewed from using SSD based machines regularly and not used to a platter based hard drive. Build quality is so-so - it certainly doesn't scream premium - lots of plastic but it's expected at this price. It's a glossy screen (because it's touch screen) if that makes a difference.
I think it's a good deal if you're looking for a decent spec machine for basic tasks. I don't think you'll find much out there that beats the specs on this machine for the price.

I still have old game consoles that still work and an old school CRT, lol. I can start a Nintendo museum. Also have Commodore VIC 20 and 64, Sega Genesis, man, I have a lot of shit. I need to have a garage sale. Come to think of it, I have a couple of old pachinko machines that I've restored. They're somewhere in the garage or basement. I can't bring myself to get rid of all that shit.

Ok I bought the Sous Vide thing. Missed the crazy promo error deal, but still got the Black Friday pricing. Looking forward to trying it, would really help me out if it's as good as they say.

Anyone know of a place that sells appliances that will actually BEAT a competitors price, not just match it?
The lowest price in trying to beat will be for BestBuy for a laundry pair
