Black Friday 2016

Please post great deals from businesses on both sides of the border here.

It's great that businesses up here in Canada have come on board with the Black Friday hype in the last few years.

i need a apartment sized washer dryer (side by side)

but even with the black friday deals i think i may be better off going to a scratch and dent place..

Moving back to Vancouver mid December.. not sure if we should try getting stuff we need during black friday(store them at our parents' lol) or wait till boxing day.

Mostly looking for a TV (60" 4K probably) and furniture (we've used Ikea the past 2 moves but since we plan on living in Vancouver for a longer time, we want to try some "nicer" furniture)

Best rice cooker deal I've come across was one from Costco in the US. It was on sale for 60 bucks US, and when our dollar was hovering at the 85 to 90 cent range. It was a Zojirushi. Small, but it was 1000% better than the old (I mean 30+ years old) Panasonic I had. Went from one button, no features rice cooker to this fuzzy logic, everything but wash the rice for you, rice cooker. I think my Panasonic would have lasted another 50 years as it is sturdy......... still have it and in working order.

Vacuum....... wait for Mieile sale.

I'm looking for a cheap 60" TV, doesn't need to be 4K just something better then the 40 I have in my man cave right now

Armind 11-18-2016 10:26 AM

Saw a deal at bestbuy for 55" 4k with ps4 pro for $13xx a week ago, not sure if it still exists.

Vizio D60-D3 60-in. Smart 1080p LED TV

have this one but in 65", Generally use it for sports, movies, and video games. Audio is the only downside but if you have a sound bar or other audio system set up you are good to go.

TVs can be bought off Amazon or Costco. Vizio is probably the best value.

Furniture is a bit tougher as I find you actually need to touch and feel it before making a decision. If you want modern furniture that is of decent quality, I would suggest Urban Barn. They usually run promos all through the holidays. When you're back in town, the best bet is to hit the Urban Barn outlet in Port Coquitlam. You can sometimes get double discounts on floor models or out of season pieces.

If you have a larger budget, you can't go wrong with the Restoration Hardware outlet in South Surrey.

If you're buying any new TV and it's not 4K you're doing it wrong

one dollar gloves
cut the tip of the index and thumb
done

I bought a pair of head running gloves from Costco in September. They were pretty warm and claimed to be windproof. Slim enough and worked pretty good with touch screens and my phone. But it hasn't gotten cold enough to the point where i'd use em.

For the most part in the last few years I've been using my ghetto dollar store gloves and they're warm enough. In the LM anyway.

looked like yay...(from US website)

unit 11-18-2016 02:31 PM

^don't do it man... had an asus rog before.. even loaded, a 2k laptop doesn't compare to a 1k desktop.
and there's nothing too portable about it... it weighed like 10lbs and the battery lasts like 90m.
