04 Civic Coupe Clutch Install Cost?

Quick question?

So I've called a few places to get a clutch installed in my 04 Civic Coupe and Im getting quotes all over the place basically +/- $300 difference...

Any ideas on what it should cost or a good place to do it? YES I've called the sponsors reached out to buddies of buddies lowest $450 (random install friend of a friend) up to 800 (Shop that will remain anonymous).

I will be supplying the clutch and flywheel and any other fluids needed. Times are tuff and yeah i don't want to spend an arm and a leg..

Thnx!

$450 is a pretty good deal...assuming that person knows what they're doing.

It's pretty much an all-day job...4-6 hours at the very least so $800 isn't out of line.

5-6 hours book time plus machining the flywheel.

Why would a bad clutch make you need to push start it?

@underscore great question...I believe the flywheel is worn out, car has a new starter motor from Honda and the clutch today is slipping.

My thoughts are the flywheel teeth are so worn out that the car wont start ie: no start no crank, however it will start via a push.

Since i have to look at whats going on why not change the flywheel and clutch.

Quick update:

So the car didn't start b/c the starter was missing...so much for trusting someone when buying a car lol. Next up the flywheel was damaged the gears came apart.

Pic of the wrong starter provided it was for an Auto also the front engine mount was done so had to be replaced

Finally the car!

I plan on fixing the rims or replacing also just did the front rotors
