First World Problems - Audi RS3 Color Choices

First world problems over here again.

2018 Audi RS3 Sedan on order, I couldn't get an "exclusive" color (Story of my life) so I'm limited to the OTS color choices, and I'm not really sold on any of them.

Available colors include;

- Catalunya Red

- Ara Blue

- Nardo Grey (Unique to RS3 and "Exclusive")

- Florett Silver

- Daytona Grey

http://gtspirit.com/wp-content/uploa...Audi-S3-23.jpg

- Glacier White

http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20140510/e6ata4e5.jpg

There are two blacks, I don't want either of them, so that's out.

Critically there are two major exterior options to consider with color;

- Black Optics Trim (All chrome trim is replaced with black trim)
- Red Brake Calipers (Vs. OEM Grey)

Right now I'm leaning towards Nardo or White w/ Black Optics and Red Calipers...

Any comments/thoughts?

I'm worried I might regret Nardo

Get the ara blue one

Daytona Grey looks great on the 3 but it's pretty common so that's a pass.

I vote for Nardo or Ara Blue - uncommon colours that set you apart.

Nardo

Edison_Chen 03-09-2017 06:17 AM

I like the Glacier White.

Appreciate the feedback... keep the trim and caliper colors in mind.

In videos the Nardo looks really good IMO... but in pictures it seems a bit too "primer-ish". The only time I've seen this color in the flash was on an R8... of course it looks good on an R8, all colors look good on R8 lol

I'd probably get Narda just because it's a colour you don't see very often. White will be just like every other Audi on the road.

Nardo or white.

TouringTeg 03-09-2017 07:05 AM

Ara blue Grey calipers

Nardo does look like primer in person . Nice that it is exclusive but with so many color choices blue won't be that common.

nardo

Solid choice, gonna kill off the M3 when it comes? This is probably the only thing that gets me even slightly thinking about parting with mine

I'd go with Nardo, it's such a sexy colour on Audi's, and with a couple contrast pieces (wheels, trim, etc.) can be very unique and aggressive. That blue looks cheap to me. Red would be the shouty stand out colour, especially on an RS model, I like it.

Nardo or Ara Blue.

Not sure on the M3, as a DD it will be replaced. Considering the expensive collection of parts I have for the E9X M3, I may sell the grey sedan but hold on to the parts looking for a unique color coupe/sedan to buy as a more long term summer car. The is too old for a new car, the tech is dated, and it suffers from BMW-itis; constant CEL for some random thing or another. Thus far it has not exactly exceeded my expectations. (Never mind the typical BMW interior trim peeling and terrible MPG)

Everyone hates on newer cars feeling artificial etc but there is no denying they are all an evolution of the prior model, most of these new cars are insanely good. I am moving to a DSG in the RS3, something I thought I would never do, mind if you if I was afforded the option of a manual, I would have taken it.

I also have a #1 spot at a Honda dealer for the 017 CTR, so might end up with one of those as well. Not a huge fan of the FWD or CTR styling but will wait until the reviews come out before I decide if I want to take the car or pass.

New 991.2 GT3 is hot AF, I was told that Porsche plans to build oodles of them so many not so hard to get this time around, but still way too fast for street, savagely good though I'm sure.

Regarding Nardo, my SA told me that 3/4 existing orders are Nardo, 1/4 is black.

No white or blue ordered yet.

6o4__boi 03-09-2017 08:26 AM

Ara Blue or bust

white rocket 03-09-2017 08:30 AM

Nardo all day. There's no room for regret in your life y0! I love the cement grey / battleship grey / etc type colors.

I have such a hard time keeping up with your fleet. lol! So you have a GT4, an F-150, an E9x M3 sedan and a Golf R? And likely the RS3 will replace the M3 sedan? Are you actively selling the GT4?

I call dibs on a ride in the CTR! :)

yray 03-09-2017 08:48 AM

and then chrome wrap

Armind 03-09-2017 08:51 AM

Nardo is nice, but Ara Blue got my attention lol

jpark 03-09-2017 08:52 AM

Ara blue

TouringTeg 03-09-2017 08:56 AM

His GT4 is sold.

Can you sell your #1 position for the CTR? Might be worth a few bucks.

Too bad the M3 is not meeting expectations.
