Windshield rock chip repair

well...it happened.. BAM...hwy 91 and I get a rock chip...about the size of a dime smack dab in middle of windshield.

any cost effective places around to get it quickly repaired?

speedy autoglass charges $79.

Unfortunately ICBC has not yet started their free repair policy yet!!!!

Sent Pm but for reference.

Kirmac does rock-chip repairs by donation and 100% of the proceeds go to BC Children's Hospital. We have no set rate so donation is up to you.

It's not whether use oem or nags, it's what ICBC allows us.

i just got my windshield rock chip repair "fixed" from kirmac on east 1st and i still have the chip there but they said its not a repair its just preventive maintenance and i asked how come the other windshield rock chip repairs come out flawless and you can barely see the chip anymore... they just kept saying the resins in there and it will prevent further splitting.

It depends on the size of the chip. Some can be almost perfect, some is just filling with resin to stop the crack from spreading.

I use this once in a while to do patch ups:
https://www.amazon.com/Rain-X-600001.../dp/B00IPS4APU

It works and looks pretty good.
