Show us the stickers of the RAM that you have originally.

It looks like you ordered FB-DIMM. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fully_Buffered_DIMM

You need regular DDR2 RAM, not the FB-DIMM stuff, for most desktops.

I want to get 1gb but if they come in 2gb, i will just get that. So should i get unbuffered ddr2? Or is there a proper term so i can search it up on newegg or ncix

I have 2 sticks of https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...82E16820145202 that you can have. No idea if it will work though.

The 1st photo is wrong on 2 counts
1) it is Fully Buffered
2) it is ECC.

Get RAM without these 2 features and you will be OK.
The 1st photo has RAM with an old NCIX label. This was purchased long ago.

The ram in the first photo i bought from ebay.

Sorry dude, you bought the wrong RAM type even though both are DDR2. The module you receive is for servers and workstations. You need non-ECC and non-buffered RAM modules...
