I have this ram and i don't know what type. I know it is ddr2 but when i order online for a replacement, i got a different one. I mean the slot or notch is not the same!

I want to get 1gb but if they come in 2gb, i will just get that. So should i get unbuffered ddr2? Or is there a proper term so i can search it up on newegg or ncix

Sorry dude, you bought the wrong RAM type even though both are DDR2. The module you receive is for servers and workstations. You need non-ECC and non-buffered RAM modules...
