Go to https://pubg.com/ login with your steam account. Right before a game is about to start a voting option appears on which game type you want to play, if you have 6-8 people you can pretty much pick which game mode is being played based on the amount of votes your team can throw at it.
What do you do after the voting? I couldn't figure out which server to join or the server details never matched what was available on the custom match list in game.

ya played like 1 more with mao duo & made it high again...gets dicey as hell soon as there is 20 or 10 players left...tough game,it is like 10x more fun with squads and we did decent for our first game with 1 random....next time i'll stay tight knit so we wont get picked off one by one....fun times.

what are you guys running in your pcs, and how many fps are you getting

im running gtx 760, i7 4790k, and 8gb of ram. every setting is on low, and i average 50fps.

you think if i include another 8gb of ram it'd bump me up a significant amount?

another 8gb ram would def help as you only really need 16gb tops

btw I have a used MSI GTX 1080 for sale and a BNIB gigabyte 1060 if anyone interested PM :)

i run i7 920, 12 gigs of ram, but i upgraded from 660ti to 1070... world of a difference. i play ultra everything 60fps most of the time. it drops down sometimes but nothing bad.

with the 660ti i was running ultra low everything and still getting sub 60fps. LOL.

video card makes a huge diff bro. ram (a little diff) and cpu makes 0 diff. trust me.

Actually this game was notorious for leaning on the processor rather than the GPU. Try overclocking before throwing in a different GPU, to see if it helps make the game bearable.

Was reading up on it and a common reply was low settings = more load on CPU, higher settings = more load on GPU. YMMV.

With 8gb, I lagged like hell when landing. Houses wont load and id have to wait 30sec to 2 mins for environment to load. Went and got another 8gb and no more issues. Game runs very smooth with low settings.

I have two 1080s in SLI and I find for gameplay sake running low is best for me.


This site has a pretty good breakdown on what each setting does and the effect it has on performance.
