Meh depends on what pieces you get and what your expectations are. I buy my fair share of designer items but I have no issues buying cheap ass $7 plain tshirts from H&M to wear under my dress shirts and such. No issues with the quality, fit etc for the price I pay.

because we waited and whined for ages about them coming to vancouver, and in typical vancouver fashion once we get something we're like "pfffft sucks"

Oh I completely agree, just that those 7 dollar shirts usually start falling apart after a year or so, whereas uniqlo stuff feels sturdier

uniqlo heat tech shirts are a life saver during the colder months to wear under dress shirts and the airsm shirts are money during the summer.

Their collabs are pretty cool, right now there are some nice designs, picked up a bunch of t-shirts in Japan.

They opened way too late in Vancouver. Should have opened 3 years ago when it was exploding in Asia.

don't think it's a coveted brand for fashionistas
it'll be competing with H&M
it's not triple five soul or ed hardy...

There's no branding on their stuff except the sponsored tennis gear.

It's more like if Vancouver got a The Gap for the first time now in instead of the 90's

Pretty stoked for Uniqlo. They have some of the best prices (at least in the USA and Asia) for decent quality clothes that fit well. They also have some pretty neat collabs (Uniqlo UT and some of the past collabs with higher end designers were great). Quality is much better than H&M and other fast fashion brands.
