Lol I would not feel safe driving one of those knock offs. Wheels will probably fall off or car would split in half in a collision

These copy cats are very popular in China. And like others have said Chinese car manufacturing has improve a lot and is not as crap as people seem to think.
For majority of people in china. Chinese made car is all they can afford. As you can see Chinese car manufacturers are doing very good. It's a almost win by default situation when all import cars are tax to the roof.
To be fair Japanese car brands started out copying design too.
