+1 for pillar to post, the binder they give you at the end makes it really easy to go back and look at things later on.

Meh, I haven't had good experiences with home inspectors. Waste of money in my opinion. Having said that, I have some home builder and contractor friends who have been willing to do a walk through with me that were FAR better than the home inspectors I've used (even though my friends don't give me a nice binder at the end of it).

House built in 2017? It should have a new home warranty that is transferrable, no?

^^^ yah but my last new home back in 2010 I took a chance without an inspector and there were all sorts of code violations discovered afterwards. The gutters could not even drain water to downspouts.

I thought the binder was perfect and made me happy spending that kind of cash on a home inspection. The guy I had spent 5 hours going over everything which gave me much more confidence in the offer I made.

Meh. You probably could have built a better one for $100/sf.
