Bali - Ubud vs Nusa Dua

I will be staying in Bali in late June. A few quick questions:

1. How many days is enough for rest and relaxation?

2. I'll be stayin in Nusa Dua. I've read that it's a touristy/rich people resort. Will I be able to see the culture of Bali or should I stay 1-2 days in Ubud? Perhaps a day trip to Ubud?

Thank you in advance.

Ubud is much less touristy, but it is a different area entirely - more highlands/agricultural vs Nusa Dua's resort beaches. Culture-wise... you're not going to see much in Nusa Dua.

I would spend 2-3 days in Ubud, at the least. But that's me, and I prefer to be away from the touristy areas for the most part. Nusa Dua is a bit sterile as it's an isolated area of resorts.

How many days of rest/relaxation is entirely up to you! If you have time there's lots of other trips you can do as well - Lombok, for example, or snorkeling at one of the reefs 1-2 hours out by boat.

i stayed in Kuta. nice area, close to the beach and nightlife, pretty touristy.

ubud is more sightseeing and nusa dua is all resorts and beaches. so it depends what kind of travelling you're looking to do

I stayed in Ubud, like others have said more cultural and spiritual. Ubud has no night life though but meditation and yoga places are abundant. If you go Ubud get a bike and tour the area! Gorgeous area.
