7 days IRP

Wondering if it's possible to get reimbursement after a successful dispute?

Called RoadSafety BC and was pretty much told there's nothing they can do to pay me back and I will just have to eat that impoundment cost, regardless of what happened to the ticket.

This is so Bull. If I remembered correctly, I wasn't even able to file an appeal for that type of 7 day impound.

If road safety. BC is saying you're fucked there isn't much you can do unless you want to open up a small claims case in court.

I take it you previously blew a warn and was issued a 3 day irp with impound?

Ahhh you got one of those

Drive without due care is pretty hefty. I suppose if you disputed and won you should file a small claims case then.

so apparently an IRP is a separate matter to the ticket issued. Simply disputing the ticket will not have the IRP reviewed and now I am stuck with it on my record. How the hell am i suppose to know this? and ICBC didn't inform me when I went in and told them I'm disputing the ticket, I was told by the agent that If i win the ticket, everything else will be withdrawn including fees paid to impound and any prohibition.

Absolute bull. Road safety BC, ICBC and the superintendent of motor vehicle can go eat horseSh*t.

You keep writing "IRP", which the common abbreviation for Immediate Roadside Prohibition. Which is issued for alcohol-related prohibitions. Not for street racing.

Did you get a 7 day impound for street racing? Did you also lose your licence for street racing?

Your best bet, if you wish to properly dispute a vehicle impound/violation ticket, is to seek legal advice, not post on here. Specifically, legal advice from a lawyer/firm who has experience in similar matters, as many criminal firms don't have the experience or knowledge for offences involving the Motor Vehicle Act.
