One person put down $5000 for vegas to win and no the casino has told him they would give him $1,000,000 cash if he takes the money right now. Speaks to the parity of the NHL today, or maybe you can also consider it diluted/watered down. Especially in this team game where no one dominant player can drive his team to a championship from the beginnning of the season. I've always held the belief that it's a teams 3rd and 4th lines that win them Stanley Cups; the good teams' 1st and 2nd lines cancel each other out. Goalies getting hot at the right time helps too.

Also in the salary cap era, we can see the mess that many teams have gotten themselves into. VGK having a fresh start with no baggage, in fact the ability to absorb other teams' baggage, is a huge advantage.
