I need a mosquito solution that works RIGHT NOW!!!!

Im sick of these little fuckers. Richmond is full of these assholes and i cant even enjoy my deck or let my little dogs out without them getting stung everywhere.

What works!? i tried those Johnson and Johnson clipons (useless). Hardcore DEET sprays (good but they discolor clothing and im sure they are poisonous to dogs). Somebody told me i should buy a mechanical mosquito trap but i dont even know which one.

help me revscene you're my only hope.

Your blood is too yummy.

Maybe go out in the afternoon, if you're out in the evening when the sun starts setting then try those LED light traps

murd0c 07-10-2017 09:55 AM

I live in Mission and its been so bad they closed Superstore for a day lol

Badhobz 07-10-2017 09:56 AM

they CLOSED superstore because of skeeters!? holy crap remind me not to move out to mission then.

murd0c 07-10-2017 09:59 AM

yup same with Walmart lol

pastarocket 07-10-2017 10:18 AM

Yeah, I hate those bloodsuckers too.

Have you tried lemon eucalyptus oil? It's a great mosquito repellent and safe for the environment.

Citronella works well too.

+1 On the LED zappers

You hang them up and listen to them sizzle.
The radius is pretty good.

Badhobz 07-10-2017 10:24 AM

where can i get some lemon eucalyptus oil? and LED zappers?

BaoTurbo 07-10-2017 10:29 AM

Here you go brah

Bug Zappers & Mosquito Traps | Canadian Tire

Grab yourself a Racket Bug Zapper while you're at it :fuckyea:

Side note even if you get a more pricey one its a good investment. A buddy of mine leaves his on at night when he goes to bed to it zaps whatever is still lingering inside the home and its most effective when all lights are turned off

Badhobz 07-10-2017 10:30 AM

Thanks Mr Bao!!!

underscore 07-10-2017 10:53 AM

Muskol is the spray that works best for me.

Sid Vicious 07-10-2017 11:08 AM

dont buy citronella it DOES NOT work

thats the one i use (the cream version) but it discolors everything. If you put it on your arm and rest it against the black plastic in your car, that plastic will be gray.

Plus im worried if my dog licks anything with that stuff on it, she'll die a horrible doggie death.

unit 07-10-2017 11:36 AM

my favorite is the stuff they sell at mec.

https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5014-8...otion---240-ml

this stuff totally works for me and for everyone that i've let use it.

Haven’t been bitten this year yet near the Moscrop or BCIT area.

$6.99 from Crappy Tire seems like it's way too much $$$ for something like this.

Is there some cheap Chinese store that sells them for cheaper?

corollagtSr5 07-10-2017 12:46 PM

Homemade mosquito yard spray is cheap, effective and easy-to-do

"1 bottle of blue mint mouthwash (you can buy any big bottle of mouthwash you like, no matter how cheap it is. For example, “Equate Blue Mint Mouthrinse”)
3 bottles (per 12 oz) of stale beer (take the cheapest – it works as well)
3 cups of Epsom salt"

What the Michael Jackson air conditioned suit is this awesome shit!?!

quasi 07-10-2017 12:57 PM

Go spend a week in Sask. then come back here and you be like these mosquitoes aren't shit we can cohabitate.

Great68 07-10-2017 12:57 PM

Remove any standing water from on or around your property, they create mosquito breeding grounds.

Get a good mosquito trap, the ones that generate CO2 are the best.

Dude it's 25 percent deet. No wonder it works. Just like the Muskol stuff mentioned earlier.

vitaminG 07-10-2017 02:10 PM

Lol I love being out with people who are afraid of deet, let them get bit.

The LED zappers and citronella don't do shit. The only other thing that actually works in my experience is a skeeter vac which is great if you have a big enough yard and $300

Hehe 07-10-2017 02:35 PM

We need a domestic version of this machine ASAP.
